Just a little over 2 weeks. This year, it seems like it's going to be more interesting than usual. Among the various things I'll be interested in watching, not necessarily in order of importance:
-- Can Nnamdi still cover?
-- Who, if anyone, will step up at wide receiver - will one of them be a good stretch the field guy?
-- How will Okoye look when they really start hitting?
-- Can Reid really take the place of Goldson; might he even be an upgrade?
-- Can anyone rotate with the Cowboy?
-- Can McDonald block as well as catch?
-- Is Cam Johnson or Corey Lemonier ready to rotate in at pass rushing OLB?
-- Will Carradine be a factor this year or is he a project?

Pretty much. So maybe there's a good reason to watch preseason games this year. But I think they get some ideas in camp. They can get an idea on whether Nnamdi can cover and whether receivers can get open. Fangio can get a feel for the new line guys when they're going against offensive linemen with pads and real hitting.

I would also add, how does Hunter and James look? How much Hunter has recovered from his injury and how much James has improved this off season could determine our number 2 back.

Good one. It seems like guys have been coming back stronger and faster from these kinds of injuries than they used to, so I'm hopeful for Hunter. And, I fully expect them to be adding some "new wrinkles" with James, but I'm not sure we'll see them in preseason games.

I am sure we will see if James has improved on handling punts though. If he and Kyle Williams can solidify that, then I our special teams will be one of the best in the league.
