Where are people getting this information from, because I've goggled the heck out of it?
Nobody knows with certainty when Mario will be ready to play football.
Manningham tore both the anterior cruciate and posterior cruciate ligaments (ACL and PCL) in his left knee.
He was injured week 16 against the Seahawks. That was in the last week of December.
His surgery in January, in the second week of January, I believe.
The recovery time for the ACL is typically ranges from 6 to 9 months. The recovery time for a PCL is 6 months to 12 months.
Having two damaged ligaments, it seems safe to assume that his recovery will take longer than 6 months.
If the recovery takes 8 months, he will be cleared to resume football activities in middle of August.
If the recovery takes 10 months, he will be cleared to resume football activities in October.
We will have to see what happens, but counting on Manningham to ready before the season starts, does not make a lot of sense.
