I like how even after that drop on third down, Kap still looked out for him and gave him another chance to make a big play. That's big time for a rookie's confidence and for the most part, I really liked what I saw from Patton even if they were just flashes. He looked pretty fast, explosive with playmaking abilities. I usually criticize Baalke's selections of receivers but I think he found something good with #11. Hopefully Roman gets him involved more from now on.

well we found something that worked so that usually means roman will run from it. it will be criminal if the kid gets no chances for a reverse sunday in my opinion. aside from crabs we tend to do better with mid round draft picks for wide outs

If anything that was PI on the defender..who lunged into Patton's legs before the ball arrived.

nice grab by the kid yesterday.
he also would've grabbed that 3rd down slant, but the defender got a finger tip on the ball.

Talk about great news - if he can play like this it will take double teams off of Boldin, Crabs, VD.

Patton plays well. While he doesn't get separation he certainly shows good shiftiness, solid hands and tenacity (for 1 catch at least).

He dropped a catchable low slant pass from Kaep that could have extend the drive in the second half. He made up for it in the last 29 seconds with a fabulous over the defender catch. Boldin-esque.

It was a tough grab on a throw that pretty much had to be right where it was to avoid the pick....I give him a pass, that is one even the great ones miss from time to time.

He was getting separation consistently yesterday. These was a moment in the second where he was completely wide open downfield but Kaepernick went to Crabtree. He's shown no problem getting separation thus far.
