I think the real problem is that we are forced to know what these guys are doing off the field, not what they are doing. I'd take Charles Haley or Lawrence Taylor on my team any day of the week and twice on sundays, crazy or not. If you guys think Aldon Smith has off the field problems you read up on what the aforementioned were getting themselves into as they were propelling teams into superbowls.

Big Ben was accused of raping two women and his team still stood by him. Aldon Smith had the wrong kind of gun in his house and people want him off the team?

There are players who have KILLED people on DUI's who went right back to playing.
BTW, they didn't kill people driving 25 mph in the suburbs, they were speeding on expressways. Little, Stallworth etc.
Jeff Garcia had a DUI. Many 49ers over the years have had DUI's. No big deal was made about those. No one was hurt, they weren't even fined or suspended by the league.
This Aldon Smith thing is ridiculous. What makes him different from anybody else?
