I thought he had a good game, not great. He needs more consistent pressure.

This. He had the highlight play but as a whole played well but not great.
He needs a little more time but is off to a good start for a third round pick filling in for a guy who had more sacks in his first three seasons than any other player in the history of football.

Great burst and first step, but he's small and really struggles to disengage if his 1st move doesn't work.

He is bigger than Lemonier but give the kid another offseason with Uye and he will be just fine

Yeah, I love Lemonier he looks great all things considered. But overall he tends to get engulfed my the offensive lineman more often than not. I have no doubts that he'll improve, though.

This.
At times it looks like he slows down when his initial burst is nullified.
I attribute this to his strength and conditioning.
Even after the OL beat his 1st move he needs to use his strength to work the angle/lane.
This will come with time, and when he gets it down he's going to be a boss.

It might be because he is "good", but not "great". Aldon Smith IS "great".
