That's a good point, so I'll agree and give him another season to adjust to his new role.
I feel like we read that every single year in here. Im a florida state fan and really hoped he would be good but out of position or not at some point you have to show talent at this level regardless of where you are playing and he just hasnt.
I feel like it's actually a fair point for Tank. He was coming off an ACL injury, and we asked him to transition from a 4-3 DE to a 3-4 DE. He showed some flashes but never materialized, and then we asked him to slim down and play as a 3-4 OLB.
Now, he's playing his college role - 4-3 DE with the main objective of getting to the QB.
To go from a 4-3 DE from COLLEGE to condition to a 3-4 DE in the NFL to a 3-4 OLB to a 4-3 DE with multiple DCs (Fangio, Mangini, O'Neil, now Saleh) all on a repairing knee takes a damn toll.
