Reggie McGrew-alligator arms, how's this one, Jamie Williams, we gave Denver a second rounder and this guy was so bad he never even made it to the bust category. He basically didn't exist.

Let Carradine, Lynch, a FA signing like Smith, and a rookie duke it out for 2 roster spots at the LEO position.

Balmer is the Rolls Royce of 49er busts.
Reggie McGrew is right there with him
Rashaun Woods as well, but A.J. Jenkins takes the cake for me. That dude didn't register a single catch for us. NOT ONE CATCH.
Just looking at the roster, and looking who was drafted the last few years is actually pretty depressing lol
Let's try 3 times and see if we can get it right? Reid, tart, ward
Or two times? Armstead, Buckner
Tank, and Lynch,.... I mean I can go on..
To waste a high draft pick on AJ???
No talant, or questionable effort, or just flat out a wasted pick for years.
It'd be nice if after each draft, you'd have at least one or two players that can play well...
Or is that to high of expectations?

Eff no, gotta have one more legit pass rusher into the group that we get in the draft. Carradine,Lynch,Brooks are all on contract years... could be a make or a break year for Eli as well. If no trade down I'm all in Thomas and an even more quick twitch pass rusher with the next pick.

If its pass rush you are looking for, I like Barnett, bigger better body of work, he broke Reggie White's sack record and he did it in one of the toughest conferences. Carradine had two issues besides injuries, he was asked to play something and turn into something that was natural. Gaining weight, in a system he was not suited for.

I don't think they take Barnett at two doe. If we do take him, then I'm still open to taking a SAM/DE tweener that can play opposite of Barnett.
We gotta prepare for Brooks,Lynch,Carradine and Harold not being here past next year.

I agree with a lot of you guys about this being the year for him to prove himself. I also think this is the year where he will prove himself. The past few years he's been asked to play out of position. Now that we're switching to a 4-3 I believe he'll prove he belongs here. I'm pumped to see how he performs in this new system.

Not at two, but in a trade back. This will give us a pass rusher, hopefully get a 2nd rounder, then depending how things bounce, either stay pat, or move up back into the first to get Christian or Watt or someone that fits the 49ers scheme. Would probably best to stay pat, take the next best player, use the 2nd second rounder on Peterman as it seems he may not last to the niner's third round pick, of course that is if Kyle sees something to work with.

Tank is getting a lot of chances , last year he had a chance to stand out with all of the injuries on the defensive side of the ball , he failed to make any memorable plays ,yes he was a 3-4 DE and played out of position, but I really don't see him having a breakout year as a 4-3 DE , I hope I'm wrong , I was rooting for him to become a top pass rusher for us, but he didn't stand out like Buckner, Ward and Robinson did last year , yes it was a bad defense , but he could have least provided a glimpse of becoming an above average player

We never played a pure scheme so Tank has had his chances to shine. I'm sorry but putting on 15lbs doesn't mean you're not effective and losing 15lbs = 11 sacks per season. He should have at least have 8. The Niners were so bad at pass rush that even a bulkier Carradine would have stood out. I don't think he ever recovered from the ACL. It's a shame but waiting for him to become this good player given how many chances isn't looking good.
Time to turn the page on all of Baalke ACL projects. No results after 2 at max 3 seasons? Time to go.
I hope Lynch stays away from injured projects , when Lattimore retired, I was so pissed, I knew risking picks in the 2nd or 3rd on injured prospects was a gamble, it backfired on us, hoping Redmond works out, and Carradine needs a strong pre-season, I'm sure we"ll draft a couple 4-3 DE's that will be gunning for his roster spot

At this point, I'm not holding my breath and am just chalking him up as a bust. If for some reason he flourishes in this new scheme then that will be an added bonus

Pretty much all this. But he moved to OLB last year but believe he played at 270 when at one point he was what, 295?
This is the best shape he's been his entire life. Nobody's banking on him at this point, it's how much he wants another contract and prove what player he is once and for all.
And yes, I want to take 2 pass rushers as well.

He is drinking at the Last Chance Saloon.
Good luck Tank.
I thought you might be a steal when we got you, now I am just hoping you make the team.
