Niners select Tank Carradine

Let's wait until he gets on the field and see what he can contribute before we determine he is a wasted pick. Tank is an absolute monster, a projected high first rounder before he was injured. When he makes his debut at full strength and good health (which should be around mid season at the latest), he adds great depth + rotation at the d-line and pass rush. Love this pick and I cannot wait to see him in action in red and gold !

I know, but I just wanted to establish the fact before people started to take it seriously.

I agree. Justin Hunter WR for the Titans lookin pretty good right about now. We do have the Titans 3rd rounder next May but if they keep wiining like they are, it might be a low 3rd. Hopefully this Tank person I keep hearing about can contribute something.

A body catching wide receiver who can't run block and has less than 100 total yards on the season? No thanks, I'll take the stud defensive lineman who was expected to be a Top 15 pick before his injury.

LOL!! let em all learn on their own... if they pay any attention at all, it shouldn't take long. It's rather funny how it gets some posters going
Whatever girls.

Regarding the pick Tank Carradine.....looks like a prospect, we'll see what he does with plastic in his mouth and Sproles coming his direction with an O lineman on him in real time go time.

They "gambled" on Gore and maybe they "gambled" on Carradine.
I guarantee Tank and Dial will NOT start practicing in two weeks. We'll have a clear timeline well in advance on when they'll be close. And right now they are not close. Manningham will start to practice within the month but dont expect him back at week 7 either.

I have the feeling that Tank will be available around the time of Crabtrees comeback, because he has no clue of running with the defense on the field. Vic is not going to elevate Tank over Jerod-Eddie with only a couple weeks of practice. Dont look for Dial until next season. I think its utter disappointment to not have available drafted players to spell Justin Smith and Dorsey. TJE is not going to get the job done in the playoffs.
So after week 6 and these guys are eligible for practice do we have to free up a roster space for them?

i agree that carradine and dial wont just be stepping in after a week or two of practice. people need to temper expectations a little bit, they're rookies coming off of major injuries who havent taken part in a practice yet as a professional football player. they're not just jumping in mid stream and leap frogging fools on the depth chart.

hunter's a shooting guard playing football; completely non-physical. he is long, though, so he will get some jump balls. but, he's gonna block like a girl.

I don't expect them to start after a week of practice.

The fact of the matter is for them to begin seeing snaps they have to practice and for them to practice they have to be activated.

So the sooner they're activated the sooner they get into the game.

In my mind that means if they intend on using Dial,Carradine, Wright, and Manningham this season they need to be activate them as soon possible so they can begin physically and mentally preparing.

This means week 7.
