I stated my opinion, trading for Gordon is idiotic. People want to throw stones on anyone who disapproves the trade and then bash on baalke but once their opinion gets challenged its all "why you have to put me down?" which i didnt even do lol. Its the internetz, I was stating facts... nothing in my original post was false I stated why I didnt agree and its an unintended consequence if anyone took it personally or if I crushed their dreams which is why I edited my second post to avoid arbitrary arguments like this one.

No, I think its the way you wrote what you did. You've routinely been coming into threads and going over the top in your dismissals of what others are saying, it's not what you say, its the tone that you convey in what you write. Not sure if you've got some major stress or other issues going on in your life, but it might be time to step back from the keyboard for awhile. Your opinion is more than welcome but you've been presenting it in a very negative and angry fashion lately and then you seem genuinely shocked when people don't respond well to it.

I don't think anyone is saying that Gordon is the perfect player by any means, there's a lot of downside, he's a bit of knucklehead, he's got 2 strikes facing him with one more putting him out for the year. I've listed all the cons to trading for him many times, I'm well aware of how problematic it can be. That said, I think the upside of acquiring him is enormous. I mean, imagine trotting out Crabtree, Gordon, Boldin and VD out onto the field at the same time. I'd put that group against any defense in the NFL right now. I like Manningham but I think people are putting way too much into depending on him playing the way he was last season, even the way he was last season was solid, not great. As I've said for years, Manningham is a high quality, very good #3 WR, if you have the opportunity to acquire a guy like Gordon, with undeniable franchise-level WR talent, then its an absolute upgrade. Beyond those 3, you would have Manningham, Patton and Baldwin for depth, in terms of winning in the playoffs and winning a Superbowl, that's an absolutely killer lineup.
Regardless, whatever Baalke ends up doing or not doing, I trust he'll make the best possible decision for this team. I think a lot of people are simply appreciating the upside Gordon possesses and how just trotting him out on to the field, even as a decoy forces defenses to change up how they've been playing the 49ers this season.

Same goes with the Packers. There are so many rumours on the number of interested parties. Either way it is not going bode well for us if his landing spot is anywhere other than the 9ers.
Wont bode well for you... dont lump the fan base into your armchair GM'ing.
Its not likely it will happen, I agree, and Rascal is often a bit of an over exaggerator and sky is falling type (he reminds me of a young CCIOWA in that regard, sorry CC) but everyone in this thread is "armchair GMing". This is a site for fans to discuss their opinions. You saying it would be a bad trade is no different than anyone saying it would be a good trade that makes perfect sense. In fact from your last rant, it seems you are assuming you know more about what goes on in Baalkies head than most people that are posting in favor of the trade.
Please step down off that high horse, your scaring Eric Berry.
I don't know about lumping fan base together, just look around here or go to any other websites on this subject, there are more than enough fans who are pro this Gordon trade. But, if you wish to be excluded, no problem.

At least 3 teams have contacted Browns about deal for WR Josh Gordon; two have standing offers of a high pick and a player. Browns balking.
Wouldn't doubt if Jets were one at 4-3 they are in the thick of things for that 6th playoff spot. Of course Denver or KC (loser of AFCW) will get the 5th spot barring a historical collapse.
If it's us wouldn't be surprised if we threw James out there. I'd give James and like a 3rd at the most and that's pushing it. Just have to make sure we get a clause in there if he get's suspended we get our pick back or something. My guess is the Browns aren't going for it. They probably want a 1st or high 2nd and mid to late straight up no conditions. I don't think we can compete if it's a teams like the Jets because they are more desperate than us. They will give up more. We have Manningham and Crabtree coming back and although we don't know how they will play we can live without Gordon. Still would be great to have him. Him and Boldin as our #1 and 2, Manningham as the #3 then when Crabtree comes back week 11, 12 we see how things are working out and go from there. I'd rather have too many good WRs than what we have now. Just don't see this happening though. Browns aren't in a all out fire sale giving away players they have to make sure it's worth it as Gordon is a good building block for the future they just have to get him into some sort of program this offseason.

Baalke should use the force and wave his hand in front of the Browns GMs face and say, "You will trade Josh Gordon for a 7th round pick."

If it's pick plus player they're being offered, it's hard to believe that it's the Pats or the Packers. Who would they throw in that the Browns would want? It could be the Jets, as they wouldn't mind lightening up that horrible cap situation of theirs.
My dark horse are the Chiefs. They have talent and are making an unexpected run. Their O needs reinforcements, particularly at WR where Bowe is badly underperforming. And Andy Reid does love his receivers. But would the Browns trade to a team they are due to play?
I still believe that if the 49ers wanted to make such a trade they would have to offer multiple picks, of which our LOW 2nd (perhaps if I start capitalising, people would realise that our picks are at the end of each round, since we're actually good) would be one. And before everyone and his uncle start throwing in LMJ to the deal, remember: it takes two to trade. Would the Browns like someone like LMJ (they might, considering the state of their running game).

So if the fanbase says is makes sense, then Baalke should do it? Even though he knows more than all of us? He doesn't have to give in to cleveland, or the fans to make any move. If so, we wouldof signed Nnamdi in 2011, to a 60M deal, and be regretting it. Fans know s**t, stop acting like you and others know more than Baalke. It's ignorant, and no one takes you seriously due to bashing Phoenix in every thread you follow him into.
to think our team or any team for that matter makes moves based upon what the fans want is ludicrous. sometimes teams do things out of desperation because they are very bad and no one comes to their games ( our infamous OJ trade is right up there at the top of that list ) but i do chuckle of those people who think a Gm will do something because its "what the fans want"
Dude didn't you see my smiley face? I was implying that it was a coincidence or whatever :)
