Good luck trying to get much in a draft class that's supposedly deep at TEs.

Don't worry, once he's traded this thread will be conveniently deleted to wipe all memory of anyone saying he was ever a good football player.

That's what you want the owner to do - let the GM do his job until its not their job anymore. You can't have it both ways. Saying Jed should have overruled Baalke but then saying he should let Lynch do what he wants is an inconsistent stance. Either he lets his GMs GM, or he doesn't.

No.

Fire a GM you know is out the door ASAP.

What if this is smokescreen to get teams to pick tight ends before them.

why does everything have to be smokescreen? have you seen vance play? he has stone hands. This is a great draft for a TE, they want to get rid of a TE they dont want so they can pursue another one here.

Trade him and give them a late round pick for doing us a favor

Joke is on us though, unless we trade him for dirt cheap and practically give him away, we're stuck with him.

if only the guy had some goddamn hands, he wouldve been a good player. But his hands alone make him frustrating to have on his contract.

They could always cut him at some point if they want to. Unlikely they do that if they can get anything out of him on the field this year, though.

Celek is a better all around TE.

Exactly. Bringing him back to hire a third coach was stupid. He should have been swept out with Tomsula.

That might be the only way to move that contract.

Sure, but that's a different issue. As long as he's the GM though, he needs to be allowed to GM.
