Waste of the WHOLE 2012 Draft
2013 Wasted Draft picks
2(55). Vance McDonald, Tight End, Rice
3(88). Corey Lemonier, Outside Linebacker, Auburn
4(128). Quinton Patton, Wide Receiver, Louisiana Tech
4(131). Marcus Lattimore, Running Back, South Carolina
6(180). Nick Moody, Linebacker, Florida State
7(237). B.J. Daniels, Quarterback, South Florida
7(246). Carter Bykowski, Offensive Tackle, Iowa State
7(252). Marcus Cooper, Defensive Back, Rutgers
2014 Wasted Draft Picks
3(70). Marcus Martin, center, Southern California
3(77). Chris Borland, inside linebacker, Wisconsin
3(100). Brandon Thomas, offensive lineman, Clemson
7(243). Kaleb Ramsey, defensive end, Boston College
7(245). Trey Millard, fullback, Oklahoma
2015 TBD
Seems like alot more Misses then hits. BUT HEY THAT'S TRENT BAALKE FOR YOU!!!!
2) you are complaining about Patton after today's game?
3) you are complaining about 7th-round picks?
4) Chris Borland was a wasted pick based on what assumption? Because in 2014, he was playing very good and Baalke could certainly not know upfront that Borland will retire after that season.
5) Brandon Thomas is a rookie, how dare you to judge him already?
conclusion:
a favorite post for most non-knowledge mixed with arrogance in year 2015.

Because he was drafted in 2014 not 2015. Baalke hasnt changed the rules so that if you're injured your rookie season it doesnt count. He was in 49ers fascilities and in 49ers meetings. His rookie season was last year.

Well now i told you so. Ertz is a bust and can't even outplay crappy tes on philly. Lots of teams waste second round picks.
Seattle with christine Michael and Paul Richardson.
Rams with their wonderful first round busts and second round bust wr
Arizona with their wasted o lineman picks and even high first round bust in Floyd.
Oh well
Zach Ertz is a bust? You what? What are you talking about? 702 yards as a TE last year is a bust?
Ertz is not a bust. However schematically speaking he is not a fit here, as his blocking is the reason he is the number 2 TE in Philly. We are a run first/run heavy team. And given the struggles in the trenches these last 2 years, he would be limited in snap count if he ended up here.
Vance has not lived up to his draft status as a pass catcher but he has been a very good blocker which is a something we require tight ends in this offense to do. His blocking is why he is still on this football team and why he starts over Celek with VD out of the lineup.

Zach Ertz last year had more catches in a SINGLE game against DC , than Vance has his WHOLE career including the first 4 games this year.
Oh well

I would argue if blocking is all you are after, then you don't draft a TE in the 2nd. But, I can't agree with you on blocking cos that pretty much only leaves just one catching TE in Vernon. We couldn't use another dynamic catching TE? Also, I doubt it is as bad as you say it is about Zach Ertz not being able to block. I thought Jimmy Graham was supposed to be useless in blocking, but he seems to be doing a lot of blocking up in Seattle right now. I believe blocking is coachable, but if you have crap hands like McDonald then there is probably not much you can do about it.

I'm pretty sure Outback Jesus has more catches this year than Vance does in his career. I heard on the radio Vance had a nice drop, bet it looked awesome.
