personally i dont really care about Kaepernick's racial makeup, but for all the talk made about it in the media, it would be rather ironic if he were actually not 1/2 black
He is a mutt. Just like Obama he had a white mother and a black dad 6'2" supposedly and he was raised with a white family. He should be more white than anything but he identifies with all people of all races just based on the way others are drawn to him. My gut feeling is that his father was probably a married man in a position in which he could not claim his son openly. He obviously is still living but he doesn't want to reveal himself even now that his son is a star.
Kaep understandably is upset with his bio mom because she comes off to him as forcing herself into the spotlight and back into his life. He doesn't see his bio dad doing this so he doesn't care for him either but at least he isn't trying to put his face out there now that Kaep is famous. Just my 2 cents. I could be wrong, but it seems rather odd to me being a father of 3 to not want to at least let your biological kids know who you are and that you exist. Even stranger is that now he is famous, shouldn't the leeches come out of hiding by now?
One thing for sure, as a 49ers fan I am thankful for the job the Kaepernick family did for this kid because he seems to have his head on straight and he is so loyal that he still has his parents in his ear advising him until this day. If he had been raised by a different family who knows what we would have today. Russo did one thing right which is she left him with an awesome family and they should be commended for what they did
