the guy was a FREE AGENT pick up.. meaning, he would only be a training camp body because we had Vernon and Delanie.. we even had some other TEs who were more athletic than Celek is.

if you're a 4th strinnger with a bunch of Free Agent rookies beside you, trust me, you will only way you catch your positions coache's eyes or Harbaugh's eyes is if you out worked everyone in your dept..

Everyone knew coming in that it was Vernon and Delanie, for him to make the team, and even get another TE traded to the skins, he must be doing something better than the other 3rd stringers..

yup ...I doubt we'll draft a TE , maybe an undrafted free agent or late round pick? ...but I think the TE's we have now will adapt nicely to Kelly's attack

exactly, I love his play, good move Trent.

Doesn't have hands of stone like Vance. Should be relatively cheap given his injury history and they need to keep a vet in the mix with Bell and Anderson.

I suspect we will be getting a TE earlier in the draft again.

Until then, I think Celek should be the #1 and hopefully Bell steps it up.

It's almost best that all around the league would view our TEs as the worst in the league, that can only mean that the defense wont respect them and we can then use them to our advantage..

Next thing you know, our TE by committee will end up racking about 67 catches for 700+ yards and 7 TDs!!

There aren't any TEs with drafting early IIMO. Celek was coming on this season and can block which is important to chip.

It will be interesting to see what chip does with this position for sure.

Free agent TE's will get paid this offseason. There are just no great options in the draft.
