Maybe 1 year but Pioli drafted him for the 3-4. Not many years at all. He has been in the 3-4 for the last 3 years atleast.

This is absurd. Ray McDonald is actually one of the better ranked 3-4 DE's in the NFL. Dorsey is up there in terms of stopping the run but he basically finishes dead last among 3-4 DE's when it comes to generating pass-rush. As KC discovered, he's far more effective playing inside.

Thats right, he picked Tyson jackson the year after. Dorsey played in the 4-3 1 year, not many like you stated.

I thought the original change was a few years afterwards but I do remember people asking how Dorsey would fit in the 3-4 because he was a true DT.

Seriously, if he can play as good or better than Ray Mac,who I feel is a very good underrated player, then we are sitting pretty heading into the draft.

This, Ray Mac is awesome and goes unnoticed on this star studded D. I think Dorsey is being brought in to play NT, maybe the new RJF but I have a suspicion he's our new Soap
