Newly acquired receiver Anquan Boldin is expected to make his first appearance in the Bay Area Wednesday when he will take his physical. There's a possibility that Boldin, who is due to make $6 million in 2013, will extend his contract, which also could create more salary-cap space for San Francisco.

Do you guys think this is a possibility?

Please make this happen. He still has plenty in the tank. lock him up for 3 years.

I cant wait to see Boldin in a Niners uniform with kaep throwing him the football. Guy is no slouch, and even putting up good numbers in Baltimore, he wasnt used to his fullest. Guy gets up bigtime for biggames as well. And he has a bit of a bully attitude. Classy, but a bully. Something we have missed on Offense.

Especially for a physical possession WR.

He can still go up and get it.

Yup. We'll need him against the Divas up north.

i would LOVE to see sherman try to press cover boldin lol. gonna get rocked and dropped on his ass!
I bet Culliver is happy he is a 49er now
He is going to be a beast for us at WR. We have not had a WR that can dish out muscular punishment since TO. He has great hands and is a gamer. Just think of him smashing DB's on running plays. WOW

I'm really hoping both sides can be happy with a new 2-3 year deal. Ideally a contract with no guaranteed $ in the 3rd year and converting the money around so that the cap hit lowers this year but isn't tremendous next year either giving us room to get another vet in here this off season.

Harbaugh's actual response to JH about being if he was interested.....

"Heck yeah. I'll talk to Trent"
