Good move, but dont see how some people are jumping for joy on this one but are all against trading for Revis for the same price (and maybe even the same timeframe -- 1 year).
Boldin is EXACTLY the type of WR we've needed over the last few years. Outstanding body control/hands in traffic. Kaep is more willing to "sling it" into tight coverage so you need these guys to be there for him. Crabs, though he started to improve with Alex, obviously turned it up another notch with Kaep and this was part of the reason. Boldin catches passes in traffic and makes plays.

Great trade.

@RapSheet
The #49ers trade for Anquan Boldin won't be official until he passes a physical… which won't be today. He's in Africa on charity

there you go

Handing out or superbowl shirts before he joins the team
Well it sucks to be a Rams and Cardinals fan doesn't it??

I agree...but I'm fairly certain it means we don't take 2 early.

Great trade.

...and it's all about VALUE for Baalke.

Seattle gives up a 1, a 7, and a mid rounder next year for Harvin.

Niners say, "OK...good move....we'll go get SB Champion Boldin for a 6".

Next.

Not coming off a serious injury like Revis though.

Big difference between a 6th for 1 year and a 2nd for 1 year.

If we could have Revis for a 4th it'd be worth the risk of injury and short contract.

I am not a big fan of this trade, why do we need another receiver. Isn't Crabtree, Williams, Jenkins, Manningham, and Davis good enough.
What we really need is a corner, not a old, over payed, receiver.

Great physical WR to matchup against those legion of holding DBs of seattle.
