Well, well well...

On Mike & Mike this morning, John Clayton said that a deal for Revis is imminent. Likely to be done today or tomorrow. And that the Broncos and Niners are the likely destinations.

So it'll be the Eagles, then.

literally LOL'd

we all know what happened the last time we danced with the Broncos for the hottest player on the market

We got further than them in the playoffs and didn't have a huge contract that will handcuff us

And now they want to do it again. Elway is an idiot.

Buccaneers are Darrelle Revis' likely landing spot if the Jets agree to terms on draft-pick compensation.New York received what was classified as a "good" trade offer for Revis on Monday, and now Tampa Bay has been revealed as the team that offered it.

It won't be the Niners thankfully. Darrelle Revis is a fantastic player, but he's a merc and there is a thing called a salary cap.

Good, Vincent Jackson and Nicks last year, Revis this year....let Tampa Bay f**k themselves into irrelevance for another 5-6 years.
Figured it was Tampa, I see salary cap hell in their future
Good news!

Jackson was a good addition, no?

LOL! Yes, it is all so tempting to hope for the big splash...until year two or three and they want to renegotiate or are injured...and the bills come due. Baalke will wait until a guy has fewer options and pick him off for a reasonable salary.
PFT's Mike Florio believes the package will be headlined by a 2013 second-round pick or a future first-rounder due to the fact Revis is still in rehab mode from a torn ACL.

I don't want him either Phoenix. To me he just isn't the right player for us at this time and where he is at.

Philadelphia Eagles will release former Pro Bowl CB Nnamdi Asomugha today.

He was good... good enough for 7-9. Maybe Revis can push it to 9-7 (and still miss the playoffs)

Yes he was, but for the $12 mil a year they are going to have to pay him for 3 years after this season....it will limit their flexibility with the amount of dead money involved.

Hope all this Sean Smith stuff is a smokescreen and that's the dood the 49ers will go and talk to.

Same here, and we can do a 2 or 3 year deal.
