Don't forget he missed some games so that probably made other guy's' production way more than his. I understand Luke beign over him but not so sure about Dansby. Dansby is a good player but not on Willis's level

Totally agree. He should at least be second-team All-Pro and I think Staley or Vernon should at least be first team. East Coast bias media hacks.

its not a career award. dansby had a better season. 6.5 sack, 4 picks, 2 tds. just more splash plays than willis. also 19 pass defensed to willis' 1

A football season is 1,000+ snaps. Making big plays on 10 of them should only count for so much.

the homer in you guys runs wayyyyyy too deep, dansby had a better season, its not really that bad of a thing to admit. willis missed 2 games, struggled at points in coverage (seattle game) and really didnt turn in one of his better seasons. what about dansby's game are you trying to attack? he had all those stats and was the ilb on the best run D in football and by the way his partner in crime daryl washington was suspended for 4 games to start the season. the season he had was really amazing.

I have to agree here, although Willis is my favorite player on the team currently, he didn't have his best year. I 100% believe it's because of the injury that seemed to slow him down & he really didn't hit his stride until later on in the year. He's still a star, no big deal really, he'll get it again in his career.

I ain't realize he balled out like that this year. Can't argue against those numbers. I really wish the Niners blitzed Bowman and Willis as much as Arizona blitzes Dansby & Washington. 19 passes defended is crazy.

I don't think Willis has his full sprint speed back, but he is still strong as heck. I recall a play during the season - I don't remember the game - where Willis stood up a blocking lineman and managed a one-armed tackle on the running back at the same time.

This is seriously a first world problems type argument!
The fact is the MLB combo of Willis and Bowman is this decade's version of last decade's Urlacher and Briggs duo.

I've been saying this since the end of 2011, but Bowman is the best MLB on the team. Willis has been falling off since 2011, but in the last four games, he's been looking good again. But Bowman is the man in the middle.

How can Vernon be first team over Jimmy Graham? That is just nonsense.
