Put him on the active roster but don't actually play him until he's really. He might be ready come playoff time.

This, we can just put him on the practice squad.

Why do we need to bring him back right now?
We've got a rookie ILB who is having a DROY type of year, its not like we are hurting at that position.
Give Bowman some rest, from the looks of what I've seen our defense will be just fine with or without bow
People are looking at it hard because he's the best LB in the NFL when healthy (or very close to it). Borland has played well but he's not Bowman, we've given up two 100 yard rushers in the last 3 weeks. Now, a lot of that I think has to do with the fact that both Williams and Dorsey are hurt and Brooks, at least this week s**t the bed a bit playing run D. But Borland got juked out of his shoes at least once by Morris, over-pursued a cpl times as well, made some nice plays and overall has been awesome, but again, he's not Bowman. And how nice would it be to have Borland AND Bowman out there instead of Wilholte?
compare Borland to a rookie Bowman you will find Borland is better. Borland will be a super star

To be fair, Bow was switching positions since he was an OLB in college.

Next year, can we play with 3 middle line-backers.

I'll never forget the litter those scumbag fans were tossing onto Bowmans stretcher as he was wheeled into the locker room.

Hoping he makes a comeback Week 15. Would be poetic justice to save the season where it ended last for us.
His return would give this team a huge boost mentally

fuuuuuuuuu that. hope he doesn't come back till next season. What's the point of him coming back? It's not like the D is the issue. This season is over and done with.

Quoting you on that
This season has been unpredictable. Let the "trend" continue. I'm def in the minority in terms of playoff hopes. We have the talent and experience to get it done.

IR him. Let the guy Heal in Peace and keep working out all offseason and study film. Once Boreland keeps gaining this VALUABLE game experience, they are gonna be a Dynamite Duo.

Yeah they shouldn't risk rushing him back into a lost season with only 4 games left. What can he possibly prove in 4 games? Of course its possible that maybe he would be good, but why risk it? It's also possible he could re-injure the same knee and have his career ended. There are lots of scenarios for next season's linebackers, but assuming Ahmad Brooks is gone......Aldon Smith, Willis, Bowman, Lynch, and Borland in the mix seems like the best linebacking group in the NFL
