But it seems now that there is a... darker side to Boone...
Headbutts and booze is clouding his thinking....
Now, that is showing your quarterback some respect.
I wonder what thoughts were really going through Boone's mind... he had to know the cameras were on them.
Kap is like seriously?!

Ed Werder reported today on NFL Live that the 49ers have asked for a "first or second round" draft pick for Boone; and that if that is the asking price the Boone camp is mad that the 49ers won't pay him at that level.

Boone knows he's running out of time. I reckon he'll waltz into practice just before week one.
Book it.
Book it.

Well, Boone should've thought of that before he wasn't drafted in the first round. In fact, he wasn't drafted at all, so there's that.

Pure speculation on my part, but I can't help but wonder if, behind the scenes, his agents are telling him this: "look, we tried to hold out, but the front office isn't caving in. Sit out the rest of preseason -- this will limit your chances from getting hurt. Stay in shape, and at the beginning of the year, we'll approach the front office, and tell them we're willing to drop the holdout if they're winning to drop the fines you've incurred to date [similar to what happened with Marshawn Lynch during his short-lived holdout]."
This will be a minor "win" for the Boone camp, because he'll have avoided a possible injury in preseason. Then he can rebuild his value during this season, and maybe revisit talks next offseason, or maybe gamble on himself and try to play out the final two years of his contract and reach free agency.
I could be totally wrong though. I just don't see Boone sitting out the whole year. That would be a pretty terrible idea on his part.

I'm sure the 49ers would love to pay Boone what he's worth, but there's this little thing called the salary cap that doesn't always make that possible. This is what free agency is for. When your contract is up, by all means, test the market and get your money.
He's got two years left on the deal. It sucks he's underpaid, but he signed it. Suck it up and play it out. Continue to talk with the 49ers, and if nothing happens, sign elsewhere as a FA in two years.
C'mon, Boone!! Just show up already.

^^^ I'm fairly certain Boone's agents are no longer answering his calls anymore.
