We have a few small problems that we can work on this bye week - which one is your priority?
Based on everything I've seen and some statistical analysis I've looked at, I vote for elevating Randy Moss to full-time starter (if he can do it); on a per target basis, Randy Moss is a top 5 WR in the NFL (4th in effective yards per target). 3rd in yards per target. He's an impressive 36th in Defense-adjusted Yards Above Replacement (DYAR), despite only having 22 targets...the guys ahead of him average 57.
So, that's my vote.

I voted to get Vernon more involved in the offense. It's a crime to only target him 2-3 times a game. We're having trouble getting him open. I'd like to see us split him out wide, maybe even in the slot, just to show a different look. Run a couple TE screens his way so we can get him into the flow of the game.

I think that defenses are scheming/cheating towards stopping VD. If that's happening, plays on the outside are opening up.
I.haven't seen the film, but perhaps safeties are sitting back to stop VD and its helping the run game...

Better blocking for Ginn in the return game. He's so close a couple of times at breaking one, but it was mostly on his effort to pick up blockers. Sometimes going all the way to the other side of the field before he can take it upfield. If the blocking is there and Teddy can see it sooner -- he's gone.

How about working on hitting those 9 routes? Our WRs beat coverage (set-up with the run game and PA) but smith can't hit that 9 route to save his life (besides to Davis).
WHY?
If we can't prove that we can do that (even if it is "low percentage") defenses will continue to stack the box and double V.D.

I would say rest and a lot of little tweaks. Get Aldon some reps in pass coverage. Keep working on Alex's chemistry with guys like Moss and Manningham to the rapport he is showing the Crabs and Vernon. Get Jacobs some work on short yardage. Consider getting some of the rookies a little playing time incase an injury pushes them into duty. We are a very good team with room for marginal gains in a lot of areas. Its time to focus on the details and round into a well oiled machine for the second half.

I want Alex to throw a million redzone passes to Crabtree and Moss in the endzone preferably.
