Fleming is injured for the season. And Cam Johnson is on the practice squad. But hey those are inconvenient facts....

I would love to see some of these guys getting PT, but the fact of the matter is that this says a lot about our team. We are not in a situation where rookies have to be forced into game action. Hopefully they benefit from sitting back and learning and they slowly get implemented into the offense.

We are LOADED. There is simply no room for them.
Sure, you can cherry pick a few picks here and there with 20/20 hindsight, and maybe they would have contributed more this year, but don't forget about the future. Moss, Manningham, Crabtree, these WR's might seek places that are itching to throw them the ball. Jenkins will fit right in next year.
LMJ's can't displace Hunter? Surprise surprise. Hunter was an EXCELLENT pick two years ago.
You see, the problem with drafting great, is that is leaves no room on the roster for future draft picks. So you have to decide. Either complain about this years draft picks, or celebrate the fact that previous years picks have left no space on the team.
LMJ should be able to displace Dixon and a 6 week injured Jacobs
Gore does not play on special teams.
Hunter does not play on special teams as a tackler or blocker.
These are the guys LMJ would have to replace.
Dixon is big and athletic like a linebacker; he is a very good special teams player. That is why he "beats" out LMJ for active duty. LMJ has no place tackling people on special teams, he is not built for it. We are already hurting for special teams players. We lost two very good ones from last year. Losing Dixon would make things even harder.
Maybe we could replace Hunter with LMJ for a game, but I'm not sure how happy that would make Hunter, when you consider how good he has been this year.

He has to lead the league in getting blocked in the back

we have a ridiculously deep team and these guys are all rookies, do we really need them this year? thats why we havent seen them. id like to see them integrate jenkins into the offense and maybe get james some touches here and there. the other guys i really dont see having any place unless there are injuries

I know my picks of Fleener, and Turbin (1 and2) have not played much, but I think they would have had more impact, this draft was a sign of hubris. The front office was reading the press clippings and we felt we could draft a few projects right away because we are so damned deep....

It's more about coaching decisions than the front office.
Harbaugh is suiting up Dobbs (TE/ST), Celek (3rd TE), and Ginn (PR Only)...and don't forget about Jennings (LS) taking another spot on the active gameday rosters.
Deactivate Ginn and Celek (you can use OL or Dobbs instead), and activate Jenkins and James.
Williams, Hunter, and James can handle ST return duties.
4 WR sets, or 3 WR, 1 TE, and James in the slot or backfield...for screen passes.
We need more explosion on offense.

A lot of teams passed on Janoris Jenkins because of off the field issues.

Either way we burned picks on guys who were supposed to be explosive assets to help open the offense and they currently watch the games in street clothes.
I give it to the bye week, after that if they are still not dressing something is wrong. If we get another injury at RB or WR and they still dont dress I call the picks a failure. After 2-3 months if they aren't ready to contribute we picked the wrong guys.
Or we simply don't need them this season. We aren't exactly struggling at WR and RB right now.

#1 in Rushing
and a petty #23 in passing.
Averages out to the #12 offense in the league. I want them out there but we wont be seeing them unless we A) get rid of Ginn or Jacobs - or B) get destroyed and fall out of contention or we get a hefty cushion at the top of the division.
Just no reason to put them out there right now.

So maybe we shouldn't have drafted a RB and WR, we could have used a OLB, and maybe DT how about a safety, Dashon will be da-gone in free agency next season! This was a bad draft, because we failed to address needs. Me I'm a dummy I would have taken Fleener, and Turbin, and loaded up on best available defenders for the rest of the draft.
