I like it. I've said for the past 3 years that the Niners brass needed to do something to ramp up excitement, crowd noise, and fan participation at the 'Stick. At the time, our beloved Niners were in the toilet, so I figured any home-field advantage the crowd could provide would be a boon for the struggling team.

Now, with our Niners looking sharp through one week, it serves as the icing on the cake and solidifies the 'Stick as a "fortress".

Whenever the 49ers make a big play for a 1st down it already takes too long for people to shut the hell up. Whenever we get down inside the 10 the Stick gets louder. So everybody yelling some stupid chant isn't going to help

nope...no one's complaining about the atmosphere, it's just what does a Spartan "chant" have to do with the 49ers. I could understand if we were the San Francisco Spartans/Warriors whatever....but it doesn't match our identity.

For example, you don't see the Minnesota Vikings smashing an Asian Gong everytime they score or get a first down.
