JT was a really good sidekick for JR.. He was as good a # 2 WR as you could ever hope to find. Way better than Streets in every way.

I'm not sure why they're even mentioned together, or why I'm even bothering to post on this weird thread??????!!!!! Guess I'm bored.
You're leaving out blocker/punt returner, esp the latter. Did Streets ever return kicks?
If we're looking at all time best 49er WR/PR, JT is heads and shoulders #1.
The guy had a super bowl record!
John was good throwing the ball also. I think he threw a TD too. And was the emergency qb by Walsh
Now I didn't know that. I knew about him throwing TDs' but not the emergency part.
that was freddie solomon....by the late 80's (JT's 1st few years) we had Kemp, Young, Bono, et al....JT may have been the emergency 3rd string if only Joe and Steve were activated for games

There was a time when he was young and unhurt that Taylor was considered the best athlete on the team. He could jump high enough to touch the top of a water pipe 12 feet above the floor in the equipment room. He could bowl to a 200 average. He could even be trusted to play emergency quarterback.
