Whitner and Reid are doing well, let's see what Cully can do at corner next year. I am hoping Brown re-signs relatively cheap, and feel good going into camp with him, Culliver, and Brock to battle along with hopefully a young draft pick

Saved our season, no doubt! And before Brown came back, Wright was getting better and better each game. I'm almost bummed Brown came back and had to thwart the momentum in development/production from Wright. And I doubt Brown comes back next year anyhow. So going forward, we have Culliver/Wright and Brock and Morris in the slot plus a top draft pick. Epic! Brown/Rogers are gone.

NC...Wright will play slot in the nickel, that is half the reason he is so valuable. D. Mo will probably learn the slot if he is going to stick around but in nickel it'll go be outside Brock and Culliver, inside Wright.

I believe this is how it will ultimately shake out as well but Culliver/Wright "may" be in competition next year outside as we're unsure if Culliver will be back to form and Wright will be fully acclimated to our defense so it should be a pretty epic battle either way.

I agree. Cully is going to go into the season as our 3rd CB no matter what happens but I think it would be wrong to mess with a good thing and not keep him on the outside in passing situations.
I do think we'll pick another mid rounder for CB though. As insurance against injury, cully not progressing or if Morris doesn't develop.

Good point...may consider a high NT this year and SS (another Reid, please) if we let Whitner walk or he asks for too much. The traditional SS are quickly disappearing from the game now (big hitters) and with the passing league, you almost need two FS's with great range, instincts, break-up ability and proper technique for tackling.

I would like to see Brock at LCB... Culliver focusing strongly on a battle at RCB with Wright... D.Mo competing with a high pick rookie like Verrett... and to see us draft a future starting safety like Ward from N. Illinois.
If would be comfortable with keeping Eric Reid at FS or moving him to SS... just depends on whether we keep Whitner +/or the type of S we draft in the first 4 rounds.

I'm sure we would all like to keep Brown.. but I have strong doubts about us being able to afford his asking price.

SMH at people that keep saying Culliver should be moved to safety. Dude is our best cover corner. He's a pretty big physical athletic corner who can be a top corner in the league.
