great timing, he would have cost more at free agency time.

I want Tarell Brown too. I hope they resign TB. He's in the Prime of his career and isn't afraid to tackle, and in the draft, they still need a young prospect.

He's our starting CB, probably our BEST one, and has proved he deserves the role, not just due to injury. -Can't wait to see him start Monday, amazing talent, all our CBs seem to be late bloomers.

Yeah this likely means Brown and/or Rogers is gone but 1 for sure. I think we'd all like to have Brown back but the guy has been playing for around 1-2 million since 2007 and has been highly underpaid. I think he will want more than we can pay him and he will get paid in FA. As for Rogers we can save 5.1 or so million and have 2.9 in cap hit that I think we can split over 2 seasons if we designate him a June 1st cut. Like I said I think we have a good start on next year's secondary with Culliver, Brock, 1st Rd Pick?/Wright re-signed, Morris. I want to see Morris at CB because he should be a solid ST player for a long time. So if Wright is back that's 5 guys could see 1 more rookie/vet, maybe not though. I see us taking 2 CB's in the draft possibly round 1 (or 2) and then rounds 3-5 ish. Could see one more late for the PS.
Side note Brock turned 25 in late August so 29 by the time the contract ends so perfect timing. Probably only get this contract from us and then we move on. He should see 3 years of the contract for sure.

Now that he's got his money, he'll start getting burned and dropping interceptions on the outside.

Excellent move and perfect timing. He's proven to be a gamer and the longer we wait the higher the price goes. A quality, young starting QB for $4M/yr for 4 years is a bargain. We just need to figure out how this will play out with the others. If we can get Brown at a reasonable price, Carlos will be an easy cut. If we struggle locking up Brown, we'll probably extend Wright and draft a rookie CB early.
I think the team is comfortable with Brock and Wright starting if it comes down to it.

Brock earned it. He waited his turn, went through injuries and kept producing when called upon. From the interviews I've seen he appears to be a humble guy.

Forgetting Culliver? He's signed through 2014.
