This year I'll be going to my first regular season game.
I'll be coming from Vallejo to Candlestick.
Anyone else from Vallejo or the eastbay area can give me tips on how to evade traffic?
Game's at 1pm.

You shouldnt have any problem evading traffic getting to the game. Get to the game a couple hours early at least. The main parking lot is filled by 10-1030, but you need a permit anyways. You will have to park in the dirt lot if you dont have one, and thats a good 10 minute walk. Plus they will be using the wand style metal detector this year, so it will take a while to get into the stadium itself.
As far as avoiding traffic on the way home.....you cant. Be prepared to sit in traffic for 30-45 minutes just leaving the stadium premises. If you have the expectations of being stuck, you wont get mad. Its a pain in the ass to leave. Be prepared for it.
Have a good time.

I went to the rams game last year and we left after the game ended and had no real problem with traffic. Parked in the dirt parking went out to through third st and got onto 101 from there I guess it was a little backed up but it got clear fast. However getting to the parking lot is a b***h if you can have someone drop you off or get there hella early

I've been going to every game for over 2 decades. If you stay to the very end and walk to your car, you will be stuck in traffic. Especially this year where every game should be completely at capacity. Sometimes, it isnt as bad as other times, but going off of percentages and history, you will be stuck way more often than not.
