One huge factor going in our favor is that we have so much depth on our team. Other than DLine, we are in great shape if injuries do happen. Most other teams cant boast that.
Like the Jets and Falcons for example; those teams may project good seasons but if they get hit with even a few injuries, they will have big holes that cant be filled.
And our coaching staff is not getting the credit they deserved. I think the analysts have so under-valued what our coaches put together in only weeks last year that they are calling it as we had so many "lucky bounces" our way. I concur, that with even more experience with our coaches working together, that they will be more prepared for games, and be able to expand parts of our playbook that havnt been opened yet.
The league and the fans are in for a San Francisco Treat this season!
i think our dline actually has decent depth. We're screwed for our DB's though if an injury plague bites.
I actually think the opposite bro.
I don't see much drop off from our starting cbs to Culliver, Cox, and Brock. But on the other hand, there is a huge dropoff in experience alone if something happens to our front 3.

I'm not going to pay attention to stats. Stats always disguise how good or bad a team really is. At the end of the day the players/coaches dictate wins and losses. I admit that the schedule is a bit harder this year but we also added pieces on offense that can push them to wins. Last year we won alot of close games and lost close games with an offense that lacked an air attack. With our defense and the offensive potential, we could easily match the record from last year regardless of what the experts/stats say. Experts almost always change their opinions mid-way through the season anyway. Everyone thinks they know who will win the superbowl even before the season starts.
Those that only predicted 7 wins for the niners this coming season....must be drunk. If Nolan or Singletary were still around, I'd probably agree. Not with this coaching staff.

One thing the Football Outsider stats doesn't seem to be considering is the possibility that the Niners offense will be a lot more dynamic this year. Yes, the probability is that there will be more injuries and fewer takeaways, but I'm hoping that is offset by a passing game.

11-5, SB win. I think we drop a game to SEA there, maybe GB there. But if we put a can of whup azz on GB in GB, then these guys better hunker down for an unforgetable season. 11-5 should get us to NFC title, beat prob NYG or GB, i think NO is out of it with no Sean Payton...plus some other D players. NE is a question, but our coach is better than theirs. NYG game we win. We get beat by a couple teams we shouldn't lose to, but go on to win. If we run the table and go 6-0, then look out. Against NE, Brady doesn't like to be bullrushed, esp up the middle. He is way better hanging back, picking things apart. IF we lose JUstin, P 52, and aldon, then I guess he could do it. But that is n't likely.

I think we are in for another surprise next season. Most expect 10-12 wins I think they one up that and end up with 14 or 15. Harbaugh is an overachiever and so is his team so whatever we expect I bet they do better. I wouldn't put it past them going undefeated... a bold statement I know and probably giving them a little too much credit too early but I don't mind entertaining the idea. I don't know last season just made me believe they are capable of anything...

Kaepernick wins the starting job in camp and goes 71/568 5142 yards 3 t.d. 17 interceptions. Us fans are completely elated because big yards are the only thing that matters.
