Lindy's Pro Football preview How they rated the 49ers

Just bought the Lindy's Pro Football magazine thought some you may be in interested on how they rated the 49ers for this year by position. All scores out of 10



Coach - 8.5

QB - 7.5

RB - 7.5

Rec - 7.0

OL - 7.0

DL - 9.0

LB - 9.5

Sec - 7.5

ST - 10 (only team with a 10 in any category)



They also have a section with intangibles where we got a +1



That gives a total of 74.5 which is the highest total of any team. The top 5 totals are:

1. San Francisco - 74.5

2. Philadelphia - 73.5

3. New York Giants - 73

4. Green Bay - 72

5. Houston - 71.5



There Super Bowl Selection is Houston beating San Francisco.

Pretty broad but I could agree with everything but RB. I would give us an 8, 8.5. Not sure about Houston either. But right now it's really anybody's guess.

didn't houston lose like 7 defensive guys?

Texans season depends on the health of Matt Schaub, can whoever is who will replace Mario Williams pan out and consistent play at WR. Plus The Pats, Ravens, Steelers and possibly the Broncos will be right there with them.

For us, we need to have better execution on 3rd down offense, WR play, more high quality pass plays and the defense and team stays healthy. Plus we have the Packers to worry about.

houston loses mario williams and demeco ryans and think their defense wont suffer?

Our linebacking core is a 10
our coach shoudl be a 9
our RB should be a 8.5.

Yep, was a good defense. Cushing, Barwin, Watt, Joseph at CB, Manning at FS, DL like Antonio Smith, a good defense overall.

I have an NFL futures wager of the 49ers beating the Texans in the Super Bowl. I think the odds are currently at 5-1.
