Brandon Jacobs is going to be the guy they go to in the clutch with the offense on the field in short yardage situations.

3rd & 1... I trust Jacobs way more than Dix.

Dude is running with a chip on his shoulder! I never liked him as rb, loved his st. But if he keeps playing like this, no complaints if he makes the team!

Is he possibly making a case for playing time?

He seemed to has lost his shuffle and is now being more patient or just taking it right to the guy.

I hope the guy gets on the team, otherwise he did a great job putting himself out there for other teams to have a good look at him.

Dixon just ran himself into a roster spot tonite or roster spot for another team. The announcers were saying that the coaches have been saying that Dix had worked really hard this offseason to come into camp in great shape. Looks like the hard work is paying off for Boobie Dix, he's running really well( compared to last year )IMO.

I think the 49ers should have kept Cartwright over Dixon. In the regular season, Dixon has proven to be not only under 4 yards per carry, but actually super close to only 3.0 yards per carry (3.3). In the regular season, he has shown no burst, power, or wiggle. He's been a pretty good special teams player.

Cartwright is known to be a good special teams player. Also, during this preseason, he looked good running the ball. He showed vision, burst, and wiggle!

I hope we don't have to watch Dixon carry the ball at all this season!
