The Aldon Smith thread

So what are the chances that the NFL suspends Aldon now that he is a 'multiple offender'?
justin smith needs to slap some sense into the kid when he sees him again

They are certainly allowed, but IMO any human being that goes to a 100+ person house party in the early morning in the bay are asking for potential problems. Its a stupid choice whether you are an athlete or not. Athletes have targets on their backs for people who want a chance to prove they are human. He needs to make beter choices if he wants to be on of the greats. Sacrifice must be made.

So just because the party took place in the bay area he is supposed to assume he is going to get stabbed at it? The party could have been hosted by one of his good friends that he trusted, and some uninvited guests showed up to cause trouble. He can't control that. Saying that he shouldn't go out and do anything because he is famous is a quick solution, but honestly he is 22 years old and free to do whatever he wants to do as this is America. I don't think we should hold him responsible for his own stabbing just because we all have the super power of uninformed hindsight.

Whatever you say....but your not gonna convince many people i promise you that. It was a poor choice, and it would have been a poor choice to be there if it was me or you also.
I think it's about time some guys on the team, maybe even just coach and Trent, and give him the business run down.

A lot more of these young ball players are really free spirited nowadays, but they've always been I guess.

so will those who were shot, sue Aldon for not having acceptable security?

either way, I see Aldon getting sued unfortunately....he'll probably settle. I mean if it is someone he is close to, then ok maybe not....but even a semi friend will try to cash in, if he feels Aldon's partying days with the homies are over.

You can't get sued for being somewhere
that somewhere was at Aldon's Party..............at Aldon's House.

Then yes, he will undoubtedly be sued by the victims. Sucks for him, but hopefully the $$ knock some sense into him.

Actually you can. By not going to a party of 100+ people in a house in the "early morning" hours.

Celebrities are now not allowed to go to gatherings of 100+ people? That sounds like a realistic solution to me.

lol. you have no idea how this started. it could've been a chill party for about 30 people and some hanger ons post about it on Twitter and it gets out of control very quickly. i've witnessed it happen.

so before lambasting Aldon, you should wait for the whole story to come out.

Gimme abreak. I grew up in Fresno CA. spendt the first 25 years of my life there. I know what a house party is. It was a poor choice.

The more troubling concern for me is...Was it his party?

ahahahaha. what does Fresno have anything to do with a party in the San Jose Hills? again, you have little actual facts of anything other than the end of the night.

not all house parties are created equal.
Lol a party is a party. Drunk guys and egos dont mix. s**tbhappens. If ubdont want to get in trouble, dont go. Instopped going to house partys around his age because they are lame and dangerous.

I agree that breaking up a fight is 'good Samaritan' but the fact that he was at the party where there were multiple gun shots paints a bad picture for the NFL. After all, he is an employee of the NFL and the NFL has their own disciplinary system. Let me just say that a 1-2 game suspension would not surprise me in the slightest.

Based off where one poster said he lived close to where this happened and knowing where aldon lives, yes it sounds like it was his house.

Wow Fresno, we should consider you an authority on danger then. All that you know of the situation is that it was a party, in a house when he showed up. Nothing has been reported beyond that therefore you cannot know what you would have done in the same situation as him.
Most of the great pass rushers do some pretty dumb things...I think this is a good sign

again, i've seen chill private parties here in LA blow up into uncontrollable freakfests. not all of them. but enough to know how easy it is to lose control of a situation.
