you do not make player decisions on what you think could happen . after i spent some time on the ledge following the removal of haralson and cam, i vowed i will never go back and second guess. moving forward if aldon misses alot of time like i think he will and probably should, you probably go find a respectable free agent to use as a back up and special teams.

Lol it's a joke. I really don't think Haralson would've made that big of a difference. If it gives Lemonier more time and experience it could be a blessing in disguise
sorry rat.. sad to say, some people are already wanting to play that game,, sorry bud

No problem. I'm glad also that the team is being proactive because the last thing I want to see is Aldon turning into a Lawrence Taylor or Charles Haley off the field. On the field no problem, off the field big problem. I just hope Aldon realizes how serious the situation is and takes the rehab seriously. Needless to say this is not going to help his civil case against him because a pattern of reckless behavior has been established so it looks like the guys shot are gonna cash out. I like Lemonier's pass rushing but I just don't think he is the run defender Aldon is yet.
agree, and what he does coming out of rehab and who he hangs with is huge. not sure how much the team can help him control that , but in the end those are his decisions.. lets hope he goes to a good treatment place and lets hope he goes to his meetings afterwards. i am ready to not see him for 60 days. hope i am wrong but really whatever it takes is fine with me. i bet the coaches already have a plan in place they drew up the day after the accident

I might get blasted for saying this but... TRADE his ass. I'd do a straight swap for Jordan with Miami. Aldon has limitless potential but always seems to end up on the wrong side of the news lines once to twice a season. We can't be on a quest for six with him in rehab or jail.

the guys has issues off the field but has never been a problem child in the locker room. no you should support him 100 per cent. that would not say much for this franchise if they cast him off in my opinion

boast,, you probably are right like i said, i am just preparing myself for the worse case deal. i have had friends and even a x who did the rehab and were gone for anywhere from 30-60 days. i know this is different and like i said you are probably right.i hope it is only 14 days and then maybe another few days to get back in shape.trust me, i did not throw that number out in typical cc chicken little on the ledge fashion

Agree totally! If he had been a divisive presence in the locker room then perhaps they should trade him. But he hasn't been and is not likely to be. A drinking problem is so far afield from being a thug that it's just odd someone would equate the two.
You guys realize treatment could mean outpatient rehab. I would guess they try to get him help in that way. Night meetings/outpatient. We will see i guess.

i do not care if its shock treatment , as long as he gets clean and sober and stays that way. i actually tend to think with the pills that were found they will put him somewhere where he can not leave for however long and then as part of the after treatment,,, make damn well sure he attends his AA meetings. and for gods sakes aldon get rid of the hangers on

Agree, one of the best methods of treatment is for the patient to stay busy at work and convert his or her social like to meetings and structured events. This limits the hours available for self destruction...at least temporarily.

i am glad no hard drugs like coke were involved. booze and pills are bad enough. if it was coke, that would be a real serious detox program he would go to. my hope is that the hometown fans support him today, he goes somewhere and takes as long as it takes. he comes back does a press conference and owns up to everything, gets rid of his old buddies and gets back on board

With team security escorting him too and from meetings

I was thinking that too. Or having him stay in a sober living facility (which is usually after rehab, but might be an option after whatever route they decide to take)

I seriously doubt they'll just stick him in a 60-day rehab facility.
