Man, if he starts the season clear of that charge with no lingering suspension, he will be relaxed ready for terror...

Good for our season, bad for contract negotiations

Him coming out the other side of this in the clear is the best case scenario here.

You have to wonder what's going to happen when Lynch's deal finally gets done. Unlike Smith, he didn't voluntarily take any games off. He's already been suspended once for a felony weapons conviction. He's already had a DUI - this is his second. If Smith is going to face a suspension of any kind, we damn well better see some suspension for Lynch.

Absolutely agree. Thing that's sux though, meanwhile Lynch and the rest of the Seattle Cheats management juiced 2 more seasons out of Lynch's career so when he is forced to miss time it will be when he's further into his career....total BS

But if you do the right thing and just try to get past it, you risk your season...

So earlier report was wrong. He plead no contest.
Deputy DA Brian Buckelew says Smith could face max penalty of 4 years & 4 months, at judge's discretion.

If the judge is a Seahawks fan, we are screwed

what we did for Aldon was a good thing but the media tried to spin it as a bad thing. true we let him play the first game after the arrest for the DUI but that was mostly because we felt he needed to be there for his guys that week but thereafter we influenced him to enroll in a rehabilitation program and we voluntarily allowed to let him sit out 5 games to get better as a person. we should be applauded for that not demonized. the commissioner will take into consideration what we've done for him the time that has been missed and I don't anticipate more than a 4 game suspension especially being that this is his first time being suspended and he has already volunteered to sit out 5 weeks of playing time. its almost unheard of for a player to get suspended more than eight games for something like this. the five weeks he's done already plus the four games he might miss is 9 weeks that's enough I think

Note that the media is on and on about how much time Aldon may miss but not a peep about Aldon. Lynch came up from thuggin but all we here is a campaign to punish Aldon and not Lynch
It's hard for me to believe Aldon's lawyers would lead him into a plea deal without some certainty that there would be a minimal or even a suspended sentence.
