Ginn is on a one year contract and none of us want to see Kyle returning punts anymore if Ginn is injured again.

I do believe this may be Ginn's last year unless he comes back again as a return man. Which is just fine with me

I don't think Ginn's roster spot is in jeopardy.
Likely Locks IMO
(3) TE: Davis, Walker, Byham
(5) WR: Crab, Manningham, Moss, Jenkins, Ginn
(8) OL: Staley, Iupati, Goodwin, Kilgore, Davis, Boone, Person, Rookie or FA
(3) QB: Smith, Kaep, Johnson or Tolz
(5) RB: Gore, Miller, Hunter, James, Jacobs
That's 24 roster spots. If we split the remaining roster evenly taking away three for Lee, Akers and Jennings, that leaves one offensive roster spot for Williams, Dixon, Cartright or a ninth o-lineman to fight over . . . unless we carry 26 offensive players, which is possible. A lot can change between now and July, but Ginn is safe.

Ginn should be cut because he's a little b***h. But I understand that we desperately need him, so no.

Yup. Some very good players will get cut in September.

I don't see Ginn getting cut. He has speed to add to the receiving group in addition to his return. If anything it would be the backup return position that would be the battle for roster spot.

I'm not sure if we offered Ginn a new contract but this gives us leverage. He is worthless as a WR so I don't see him staying unless he is dirt cheap

1 year - $1.375 million. Relatively cheap for what he provides

Wow , that is cheap and makes things very interesting for competition.

No, Ginn stays and Williams is cut. Williams is dead weight IMO, those fumbles cost us big time, rather keep the reliable Returner in Ginn. I think we will put Hunter and Ginn on KR and Ginn at PR, with James like Sproles on offense.

I think we keep a 9th OL and Cartwright, taking a spot from Defense, likely a DB or LB, possibly we only keep 6 DL, and not 7 like we did at start of 2011 season.

No, but i think it says that James and Jenkins are our future and Williams and Ginn will ultimately be replace by either or.
