i really think this move means the niners must have faith in Lattimores recivery. why else eould we leave only 2 rb on the 53..,,,,,right? crazy how deep we were at the begining of the year

Disagree. Not a strong or fast runner and he usually goes down at the first contact. Can't make people miss tackles. Too bad Baalke didn't just cut him before the season started. Then they might have kept Winston instead.

i do not discount the theory floated by some to give ellington some work as a back but i think you are right.. i think the team will just try to get by with two backs and then hope marcus is ready to go.. now if gore and or hyde get hurt then we have a different conversation and i would be pretty sure that conversation would be to bring back smith.... we could do worse
