Do you guys remember during the pre-season, LMJ was basically the feature back, and he didn't do nothing with his opportunities. No tds, no big runs.

I'd pull up the stat sheet, but I'm too lazy.

Boobie on the other hand....

Yea I remember in the off-season most thought he was the odd man out but he did his thing and earned his spot!

I never understood why we didn't use him in a Darren Sproles type role on offense(screens, etc.)

he probably didn't earn the playing time in practice. TBH, are you comfortable he won't drop it again?

Maybe another Jenkins/Baldwin deal could be done.

Here are a few thoughts:

James for Bryce Brown
- Brown is a talented back behind one of the best in the game. He had fumbling problems but he is talented. Philly could find a way to use LA Mike in their spread offense. Kelly also knows him well.

James for Shonn Greene
- Greene is a solid backup who is physical. Also behind a decent back in Chris Johnson.

James for Mikel Leshoure
- Fallen in bad graces with the Lions and is behind Bush and Bell. He was a solid back until Detroit moved towards a pure air raid offense. Bush came in and they run a completely different system.

James for Joseph Randle
- Dallas has a few backs behind Murray that are all pretty equal.

Just a few thoughts as I feel James has worn out his welcome in SF. He just doesn't fit in the current scheme.

if we're gonna trade LMJ it's gonna be just for picks. 6th or 7th.
LMJ for Jonathan Martin. Make it happen Baalke
Just flat out cut him and save some cap dough. Horrible pick and especially a 2nd rounder? This 2012 draft just wont go away. Baalke to me seems overrated. He outsmarts himself too much. What did he see in LMJ?? Dude is a specialist at the most. You do not waste 2nd round picks on specialists. God that draft is killing this team.

"Killing" the team? You mean the team that was essentially 1 play away from back-to-back Super Bowl appearances? A few breaks here and there, and we're playing for 2 titles in Harbaugh's first 3 years, and you're saying that the 2012 draft is "killing" this team?

We are a couple of plays away from 3 straight Superbowl trips.

LMJ is a good player but AJ Jenkins really hurt that draft. LMJ was drafted because we needed depth in case Gore or Hunter went down. We count heavily on the run game. When hunter got hurt LMJ came in and played great. We simply just don't use him enough. We have stayed healthy at RB and we have talent. Now we throw in Lattimore. I think LMJ finished this season with a 4.9 yards per carry average and last year was similar. Need to use him more.

This ones on Roman. We should be doing everything we can to get our RB's the ball in space. They are all great play makers.

Just because our coaching staff doesn't know how the f**k to utilize James in our scheme doesn't mean he was a horrible pick.
I had this random dream that darryl morris returned a kick. i woke up before I could see if it turned out well, but since he's really fast, could that be a could replacement if lmj leaves? (im actually asking, like is speed to only thing that factors in?)

We could have easily had homefield advantage had Alshon Jeffreys been drafted instead of AJJ or LMJ.

Or if Crabtree hadn't been hurt, or if the refs had made the right call on the sack, fumble, recovery against New Orleans, or if the defense tightened up against Carolina...

Or maybe we go onto the Super Bowl if Kyle Williams doesn't muff 2 punts....

We could've had Ray Lewis if we didn't trade the pick away to move up for JJ Stokes.

I like this game .
Tell me please someone, WTF has LMJ done in 2 seasons here????????????????????? Anyone should be able to fair catch unless your name is Kyle Williams.
to be honest he hasn't even flashed that much . its seems like someone taps him and he is on the turf.
