That's fair...but really? All 4 of these guys getting hurt at the same time? Maybe three...so in the worst case scenario (right now) you have Moss and Ginn. That's not bad at all and all we really need to run our offense. Naturally you'd have some developing practice squad players and a later round rookie move from #6 to #3. The focus will continue to be on 2 and 3 TE sets, the running game and clock management.

If we have Moss and Ginn starting we are in trouble.
Thats gotta be plan D.

I was hoping we'd re-sign him. This may have already been mentioned, but he hasn't fumbled on kickoff or punt returns since he's been with the team. He's given us great field position many times with good returns. With our D, Special Teams, and him, we'll continue to win the field position battle.

I hope Fleener is still there for us. I think he can add a lot to the team. He's a big target with a lot of range and he's as fast as some of the other receivers that are projected to be there like Randle. So why not take Fleener.
I still think the Niners take a WR in the first four rounds. You need to keep developing WR especially if Ginn and Moss are on 1 year contracts. Would Moss Retire if we win the superbowl?
Also Williams might be done with the 49ers. Would they ever put him back in at Punt returner?

LOL. Not really. I mean, yeah, it's not ideal but with Ginn and Moss defenders have to respect their deep speed (at minimum). We saw what the Giants did with ZERO threat of deep speed...8 to 9 in the box, played Crabtree tight up at the LOS and single covered him and destroyed us on 1st downs which lead to 1 of 13 on 3rd downs. Ginn also didn't drop that many balls last year AND he also made some really nice catches too (esp. on the sidelines). Year 2 may be better for him. But yeah, not ideal but certainly more effective than the NFC CG even as Plan D.

Big re-signing. Our offense needs the best field position it can get from the return game.

I see Manningham in the slot quite a bit next year, could be dangerous!!!!!!!!! Ginn will get some reps, the jet sweep they did with him last year was quite effective.

Thank you Ted, thanks Coach and Trent, and thanks JEd. This is one signing we really needed, and who knows, maybe Ted will move up the WR chain. It's wide open right now.

They should have signed him to a 3 year deal because we gonna be back in this same spot next year.

Its funny, in his interview (conference call) he stated he hurt his knee a couple weeks prior to the Saints game and he felt like he couldn't go (play in the Giants game). Listen closely to the interview. The injury that took him out (for good) didn't look like anything either if you watched the play.
Did his agent have him fake an injury for $ leverage knowing the Niner's had no depth at either WR or ST's for the next game? LOL. That's my conspiracy theory prompt for the month.

That part when they asked him what he liked about returning kickoff/punts, he said:
TG - "Well, I had a decision on whether I wanted to get hit or not."
Reporter - "That it?"
TG - "Yeah!"
Ummmm? What? LMAO!

You just have to tip your cap to Baalke...defense returning intact, not just Alex, but now Josh Johnson, Manningham, Moss, et al. Return game's in good hands w/Ginn, Hunter and don't forget Perrish Cox, who was a mad KR in college.
