Baalke and Harbaugh proved they are great coach and GM

Old news, but was just watching NFLN, and Peyton Manning confirmed to Rich that he INDEED visited our training facility at one point (the one thing nobody could ever confirm), and Manning loved the way we handled the entire situation in the shadows (until Mort saw us at Duke which was nobody's fault on 'our' end).

-Despite the outcome, I still take this as a huge compliment to our organization, and I love the way Baalke & Harbaugh do things.

Two years ago there were so many leaks (rats) it almost made you question the organization, and it's faulty PR department (before Bob Lange took over).

Everyone knows who MadDog is from his comprehensive pre-draft rankings, so I'd hardly say it's anonymous. He knows the weight of his words, and he didn't mince them here. I think that Baalke is the one responsible for going after Manning. He's never been supportive outright of Alex. Supposedly they were trying to trade for Roethelisberger in 2010, presumably right around the time of his rape accusations. Goes to show you, Baalke doesn't care much about a player's character, since Alex is one of the most standup guys in the NFL.

I have been hanging out at the Broncos' board and you should see the swarm of new Broncos fans.

They were congratulating the team and said Denver will be their #2 team. The influx of wagoners were horrible.

PM fans wanted him to come here so he can get an easy ring.

That doesnt take away from the fact I personally wanted Peyton manning. Along with other Niner fans on THIS board.

Hahaha any vet around here knows damn well that even if we had re-signed Alex in the first place, Dog would be going off about how horrible we'd be for NOT having interest in Peyton Manning, and 'settling' with Smith.

I'm glad nobody on the Zone is in our front-office making decisions, cause then we'd be the f**king Redskins.

Agreed. I personally was proud to be the sleeper team. C'mon every team without an elite QB wanting Manning. The fact that we we the last team to be announced via the media is a compliment to our organization as you stated.
