He's an option. But we may look for more experience at PR.
This Signing will give us some young depth in case Moss does have arthritic knees. Moss will help so much on third down I think his signing was good regardless. Manningham does have a great career ypc so he will definitely will stretch the field. Go niners!!

meh, same thing as Morgan.... average reciever

When is the last time Morgan had a 944 yard 9TD season?

If he played for the Giants he would have....Don't get me wrong, I like the signing. I just don't expect him to light things up. I expect Manningham to be our 3rd receiver.

Moss, Crabtree Manningham.
If you can't sign a Manning, sign a Manningham! close enough.
I like all the hate in here bout Manningham HE IS BETTER THEN WHAT WE HAVE SO FAR behind Moss & Crabtree we cant have it all ppl we dont have a salary cap like the Bengals or the Buc's bcuz we have built around a championship style defense whether its Manning or Smith as our QB next season it will be a BIG improvement over the receiving corps we had going into the playoffs can we ALL BE CONTENT AT LEAST FOR ONCE!!!!!

Moss, Crabtree Manningham.

I'd save the speculation about his production until after we know who will be throwing passes to him.

Let there be no doubt...Harbaalke's pretty awesome. I've been targeting Manningham since the SB...and now he's a Niner. Definitely gives Peyton more to think about. Moss, Crabtree, Manningham...add Fleener, a top OG, good RB (my faves are Doug Martin & Robert Turbin) and our offense should be pretty darn good.

too bad we didn't load up last year

They did... That is why they were so good. If Edwards and Morgan had been able to remain healthy, the Niners would have won the Super Bowl......IMHO

though i'm all for signing peyton... odds are in the favor of smith coming back IMHO, unless niners revoked the 3 year contract already offered to smith..

That contract was offered at the start of FA, and the fact that Smith/Condom refused that offer is probably what caused the Niners to get in the Manning race.

Talks of the Niners and Alex not being on the same page for a contract were coming up before the start of FA, which was last Tuesday. Apparently, Harbaugh and Manning met on Tuesday.

Makes sense to me.

I havent heard a word about the offer being off the table. Smith could sign the offer at any time if he wants the deal unless someone has info that it was pulled.

He will probally sign before Monday if he's smart
