We're probably not going to get a big name WR in FA

I would take Colston over garçon but not by much. Also if we don't keep ginn we better get royal, we can't lose any more games by a bad punt returner

True Crabtree is he played the four or so games he missed would of been 1000 yard wr. We need a true number one, even an ok number one like Colston, so either Crabtree or Colston or whoever we get will beat their opposing cb. We can't always pass to tight ends, even new england had a great number one. We need a number one so Crabtree can beat the oppositions number 2. Crabtree is better than almost any number 2 cb but probably 10 or so number ones. That's how our front office should look at it. We need a number one wr that can beat number one CBS with regularity.
Like moneyball for football, instead of on base % we need catch or catch on 3rd down %

Also agree with this.

You speak the truth. Colston is aging and he's a possession receiver, he doesn't get separation well from cornerbacks, for all intents and purposes he's a bigger, slightly slower version of Crabtree. Vincent Jackson seems to be on his way to the Redskins if you believe all the rumors. Bowe is franchised. There really isn't all that much out there.
Basically the 49ers could land someone like Garcon, Meachem or Robinson which I'd be totally fine with, literally ANY of those guys would be an improvement over this past season and I'm especially keen on Garcon due to his great route-running ability and speed that allows him to work as a deep threat as well.
