I've said all along that a reliable return man is priceless. I thought KW would do a decent job but I was wrong. Ginn should be our #1 priority off season signing. seriously.

Well how does that look now? I stuck up for Ginn all season long. He is SURE HANDED and one of the best return men in the game for speed. We NEED TED GINN BACK! It's not optional.
its not about "anybody" being able to return kick off's. its that ALOT of players can do it.. we just had the wrong guy in there returning them for us...
It seems that people are STILL underestimating him. If we can resign the guy, why go looking for someone to fill a role we already have filled? I'd like to see Ted Ginn return next year as a returner and in the role as 5th receiver. It would be even better if we could carry 6 receivers (Ginn being the 6th), behind Crabtree, Morgan, a rookie, Williams, and a FA wideout (no big name money shelled out here).
The reason that the 49ers were so good this year is because they were solid in all 3 phases of the game and could beat you in all three phases of the game. It would be senseless to mess up that formula by letting Ted Ginn walk in HOPES of finding a pro-bowl caliber returner (he would be in the Pro-Bowl if Hester weren't in the NFC).

Playing hurt doesn't help anybody. And if he can prolong his career by occasionally running out of bounds then so be it. Wes Welker does the same thing ALL THE TIME. Them being smaller guys, I'd even go as far to say that it makes sense. Back on topic, the only thing I need to know about Ginn is that he did not muff a kick all season. His return abilities are one of the biggest reasons why we were so successful this year.
