As everyone is celebrating Catch III, Goodwin gets into the face of the red with a "What?!" gesture.

Chills. Gives me chills watching that last TD. What a great game on top of a deep history of this team.
Bill Walsh is appreciating this game watching some where up there. I had tears in my eyes after that TD

Reading the article on the home page about Goodwin leading by example made me want to bump a Goodwin thread just to give him props and this thread didn't get the love it deserved at the time. Seeing Goodwin bark at the crowd was awesome! He's been a complete stud on this offensive line and one of the most underrated FA signings we've had. Baas was decent and I thought he'd be missed. No chance! Our line is wrecking people right now with Goodwin and Boone being major reasons for that! GO NINERS! Here's to puting up 200 yards rushing on the lambs and no sacks!

I remember that well.. always thought it did at least appear as if he was barking "what!" at the referee.
We had a lot of proud and fired up Niners this day. I will always remember Alex barking at Vilma and Greg Williams. You just know he had to be saying something along the lines of, "that's right! You keep bringing that sh*t ( blitz ) and see what happens!"

Goodie is a Wolverine...he always gets love from me. That game left me with no voice and I had to buy some dude a couple of pitchers for knocking over his glasses celebrating...and yelling at everyone that I told them about Alex.
What a day...

Goodwin's play from last year to this year indicates how much improvement there has been at OG. He was really good in NO between two all-pro tackles and is now very good between our two beasts. Nice to see...I worried greatly about him last year!
Edit--all pro guards!

QFT
Still not as much power coming from Goodwin on run plays.. but he manages to keep a DT busy by angling him out, and is hit or miss on getting a good block on a LB at the 2nd level. Not complaining though.. he's not the liability he was last season.

I was wrong about Goodwin. I thought he was a serviceable vet with a few suspect blocking. But having Iupati and Boone --2 good G's --instead of Chilo and Synder, makes a difference in his game. Stable and solid so far.

Thanks - and agree.
Goody has been overlooked for his solid play - batter than Baas.

I heard on this board Goodwin was a bottom 5 center.
Good Win.

He was bottom 5 last year. Turns out that most of his suck was in large part due to terrible RG play though... glad to say.
