Joe Staley's contract inquiry

Now, I know Staley signed a contract extension a few years back which has him under it until 2017 (UFA-2018). I also know his yearly salary and signing bonus amounts. He was also getting 2.9M for question is: does anyone know what these incentives were composed of? I have looked everywhere and it doesn't look like I can find it. Any help or a point in the right direction would be helpful.

Thanks, peeps.
Incentive 1) get harbaugh to dance
Incentive 2) get VD to sing
Incentive 3) get Alex and crabs to talk
Try pming your question to AB83Rules.
I have already checked the website he gets his cap data from ( and there is no clarification there as to what the incentives are for. I will PM and see if he has any resources besides the website he uses to update his posts.
Like # of games started maybe? Dunno
Joe staley extended until 2019. Knew he would get paid before Boone
2 year extension! I wonder how it affects Boone, if at all
Staley and Anthony Davis both locked up until 2019.

Trent Baalke

"In today's NFL, it is rare for a player to play his entire career with one team," 49ers general manager Trent Baalke said in a statement. "With this extension, Joe will likely be a 49er for life. He is a three-time All-Pro and core member of our football team. His commitment and professionalism have been great assets to our team and our community. This extension reflects our philosophy of investing in our core players."

Pretty interesting because Staley is getting paid pennies already.

Edit: Pennies relative to performance and position.

Staley's extension is just a perfect illustration of how Niners FO operates. Reward players accordingly who have shown their true worth. I think it's also a subtle message to Boone - prove it for 1 more season you're a top 20 Guard and you'll get paid like one.
I predict that this is a precursor to extending Boone. They haven't released the numbers yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if this extension frees up money this (and next) year to be able to offer Boone a fair extension without busting cap space. Staley strikes me as the kind of guy that would do this to help out the team and one of his friends.
