Faithful since 87 when i was born into this stuff, remember all the first games i watched, the dreaded NFC championships against Dallas then having to watch them beat the Bills, will never forget 94 watching Steve Young get the proverbial monkey off his back and shattering the chargers. Nothing was sweeter than beating the cowboys in the NFCC though.
Its been a long time coming, i havent missed a game since the early 90's. Glad my best friend and his older brothers got me bleeding red n gold since i was 3-4 years old across the street from my house. There are so many eerie coincidences from 81-2011, i dont even know how i would handle myself if we won our 6th. First the SF giats, and then shortly after my Favorite team of all the 9ers. It would be good times in the Bay area again.
We probably have the most complete team, which gives me lots of hope, i've seen the highly powerful offenses falter in the playoffs, not all the time. But it feels like this could be our year. And i hope more than anything we get to exact revenge against GB for all the losses Favre and GB gave us, and denied Steve more SB's.

Man this was around the exact same time I became a fan. I live in Denver and my dad kept trying to get me to be a Donkey fan. I wouldn't stand for it and would love to see them win for the 30th year anniversary

faithful since 86. grandpa brought me up right, he is a huge niner fan but he tells everyone that i live for this team. and i do, got the mark of the empire on my left calf and never hide it. got the blessing of my life to meet joe montana in 89 when i was 3 years old. dont remember alot from that trip, just seeing the tanks at miramar and JOE MONTANA, talking into a mic about 15 ft away from me on a stage. i remember him talking about the butterflies he got before the games. i was wearing his jersey, got that signed got an adult montana jersey signed, full size poster and my grandma even got him to sign one of my baby pics. still have all that stuff including the pics of me shaking his hand. been through much of the glory years up until the lates 90s until young got that damn last concussion. saw the catch 2 loved garcia when he came and even T.O. I LOVE ME SOME ME! still sick to my stomach at the whole eddie d debacle that i still dont understand completely.
my brother claims to be a seahawks fan but i know he is a closet niner fan scared of how bad i would rag on him for admitting it and joining the evil empire bandwagon. ive only been to 4 games at the stick in all that time and they never lost. now that im out of the army im going to be getting season tix for the rest of my life. if im not watching them, im on madden playing with them, not on madden, im on the comp watching vids and reading about them. my wife tells me our relationship hinges on this team. my son is 3yrs now and he will be the same along with our second boy due sometime this week. cant help it, its who i am and i wouldnt have it any other way. faithful for life, bleed the red and gold
GO NINERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have stuck with the 49ers through the thick and the thin. Wear my hats, t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets and skull cap all the time. It is so great to walk anywhere now and hear, "Hey, how about them 49ers!' It has been so long since have been able to have people say that, and needless to say it feels great again! So ready for playoff football!

Damn I was 15 years old in 94' I remember my dad would have me sit next to him when the 49ers played on Sunday that was in 88' I just loved watching the 49ers with my dad. I think in 92' was when I really started following, reading the news paper every Friday for the updated stats (sacbee) and always talked football with my dad and him being surprised I knew the whole roster lol. This is an awesome feeling to have, I haven't felt this good about our team since 94' of course we had good teams after that but it wasn't the same feeling. I too struggle at times to think of other things besides the 49ers, I constantly search the web to find any news, I have an app on my phone by bleacher report, that sounds off every time time there is new news lol my girlfriend hates it! I hope we win the Superbowl but if we don't this season is nothing to frown on, we are lucky to have Harbaugh and look forward to more winning seasons! Go 49ers!!!

There's something definitely in the air and it would be sweet to bring back the Lombardi to the Bay.

fan since around the 94 super bowl season. I was too young to know Montana, so Young was my guy. I remember every year, Dallas/SF was on here in NY.
Been rough times, since 03, then 04 gong 2-14, horrible team, no talent. And now what 9 years later we have so much talent. Right now my favorite 49er is Justin Smith and Frank Gore. I loved the Smith signing in 08, and Gore was a great steal. of course Willis and Vernon are my next 2. Now Aldon and Crabtree are becoming my next 2. Its tough to choose, I try not to get attached to players who are on 1 yr deals. I love Rogers but I worry he leaves. But I cant help the one guy on a 1 yr deal I love and am a huge fan of, Blake Costanzo, in addition to the ST unit, Akers, Lee and Jennings.
But My favorite of all time, of course Jerry RICE, and heres my second, Bryant Young, always loved him, reminded me of Justin Smith, always playing tough, even on bad teams.
