Wow we could be in trouble next year we have a lot of FA that won't be easy to replace. I think Rogers and Goldson have got to stay in order for us to have a top 5 D again next year.

York's pay good players just look at VD, pat, Gore and even Clements. I have no doubt in my mind if Baalke wants a player the York's will write the check.

Bowman and Staley?!
I couldn't be happier. Those are the two that I really wanted in, they richly deserve it.

This is correct.
What none of us know at this point is how good Baalke is with a crowded salary cap. He pulled off a coup when he locked up our core before the strike, but he had a lot of head space, cap wise, when he did that. His job became a lot harder yesterday.
Fortunately, no matter what becomes of us in the playoffs, we're clearly a franchise on the rise with excellent leadership, players will take that into consideration in the months ahead.

Why is everyone so happy about our guys being selected to the pro bowl, its not like their going to play.

Well, at least we know if WAS offers Rogers slightly more than we do, Rogers will porbably sign with us. He said he's having the most fun playing football this year. That weighs in a lot. Unfortunately, Goldson doesn't have that perspective or experience but I have a feeling teams will believe it is our front 7 and system more than it is Goldson. If teams actually felt Goldson has top tier talent, then some team would have signed him in the off season.

So we have 18 players - starters, backups, and alternates involved with the pro-bowl. That is quite the testimony for our team. For Goldson and Staley to get picked is quite the testimony for those two. As far as their peers think they both play well. Now it will be interesting to see the Niners retain the majority of these players. Good job team, and good job Harbaalke.

Honestly, no hating now, but I kinda feel bad for Alex Smith. He worked his ass off this off-season and this season, hasn't made that much mistakes either, I feel he should at least be named an alternate.

I think it makes it worse because they have Manning in there, hes been more up and down this season than a roller coaster!
