Yep
We had four trips inside the redzone.... FGs everytime........
if it wasn't for our defense and the takeaways
we would be 8-5 or 7-6 now

Our D gave up 21 points. Our O-line looked like swiss cheese. We had one good run all day. Sure he takes some of the blame, but there is plenty to go around.
We have 10 wins despite Alex

Defense and special teams are the reason for the wins. We have 10 wins in spite of the poor QB play.

Does the label "Hater" only apply to Alex or to any 49er that is criticized?

If we play like this, and the play calling sucked too, we will lose the first game of the playoffs. One thing for sure our red zone offense is a no zone for us.

It really is a serious head scratcher because this has been a weakness all year long. We haven't seen much improvement let along a decent game in this category, so it's not wrong for anyone the raise the question of whether it's the QB, the receivers, the coaching staff, or a combination of all three. It's even more frustrating to watch the Josh Skelton's, TJ Yates, and other QBs come out of nowhere to execute. Maybe it's the element of surprise, but somewhere between now and week 17 this has to be figured out or we will have wasted a tremendous effort by our defense this year. I can't pin it on Smith yet this year because there have been times where he has put the team in position and they (Ginn, Hunter, Davis, Crabtree, etc) have dropped critical passes. It seems to happen every game.

Fitz made Skelton look very good today, we dont have that guy on the field playing on a consistent basis right now

OL needs to block better, Smith needs to be more accurate and the WR`s need to catch better. The O still have alot of room for improvement, Hell so does our pass D... and why the hell are we getting away from the run so much!

I'm a Smith fan but it's hard to defend him after his performance. It was pretty hard to watch him continually miss fire. Definitely his worst individual performance all year.

Dont forget to mention that cards have an improving D, stop whining, maybe give credit to cards for puttin up a fight. They had a good game when we had a bad one. Tough it out. Niners all the way!!!

When asked to win a game by himself, he can't do it. Don't give me the Lions, or the Giants, or Bucs game because a mediocre QB every once in a while can have a good game. This guy is scared. This guy can't think when under pressure.
Very well put..I agree 100%. When all the elements of a play are perfect, he is a serviceable qb. However, when a play breaks down or improvisation is required, he cannot and has not ever elevated his game!
