Playoff Scenarios

theres no guarantee seattle beats us in our house. i think we can run the table if we can get some kind of creativity out of our offense. these two losses in a row should be a wake up call to roman because another loss and he will most likely get canned. ownership shouldnt let a team this talented lose games like this with all these talented players. the axe wont fall on harbaugh thats for damn sure but i think roman will get it if we dont beat the skins.

We are not 4 year olds here. There is no point in being ra ra and say the 49ers is the best team in the world and will smoke every team in the league when it is so far from the truth. It is what it is. Basically, what you are saying is honesty is shameful. There is nothing wrong in telling the truth. To add, the longer you want to live in denial, the longer it will take the current 49ers organization to make the necessary changes and decisions on players and staff personnel to turn this thing around.

I will say it again, based on what I have seen, I cannot see how the 9ers can beat the Seahawks. And I am not going to apologize for my honesty.

totally understandable....but when we did play them this year at their house it was 5-0 at half time....then 12-3 to start the 4th QTR. We were shooting our foot left and right. To the Seahawks credit.

hopefully we have Crabtree back by then...and Jim pulls Roman's head out of his ass.

I know the Seahawks have Harvin, who is totally dangerous...who had a big part in beating us when he was with the Vikings, but I feel confident we'll keep it close and will have an opportunity to win it at home.

It isn't honesty. It is defeatism.

Every time we play a poorer team there is always a reminder that on any given Sunday any team can beat any other team. But you have already given up.

You mistake ra-ra with a commitment to the team.
Kind've funny how things are going. Possibly only 2/6 of the NFC teams in the playoffs last year will be returning in 2014. -Lots of young-gun teams going in with huge playoff windows, and great coaching (Hawks, Panthers, Eagles, Lions), and only 'one' with an actual Elite QB who has won a Superbowl (Saints).

with the way our offense is playing right now, its hard to say we win them all. Its looking more like Seattle could beat us at candlestick.

I think Harbaugh is partially to blame here to though. He has the power to veto any gameplan going into a game or playcalls for that matter. If Roman isn't doing is job, then maybe he should have been canned earlier in the season. To can Roman now and bringing in a new OC would be devestating to any playoff hopes we still have.
suddenly, that last game of the season will be very important.
4 losses to 4 legitimate Superbowl contenders. The offense has 6 more weeks to start getting it into gear. Have a feeling if the Chiefs and Broncos played IND, SEA, CAR, and Saints, they would also lose...oh wait...one already has lost to IND.

Even if they don't, the playoffs can still be about letting Kap loose and running.

I have a good feeling.

maybe its rebuilding time. Whomever is coaching up recievers and the passing game is doing an awful job.

Nobody said we are the best team in the world and are going to smoke everyone. It's shameful that you just discount our chances no matter what. Any given sunday

I still think we go 11-5, upset Seattle, and take the #6 in the final week against the Cards, which probably gets bumped up to a night game on SNF, and I'm gonna bet we still end up playing the Lions the following Sunday/Saturday night, which should be pretty f**king exciting.

We have the best schedule of all teams trying to get in, and thankfully we don't have to go to Seattle (which would put a huge dent into the injury tent) in December this time. Again though, it's all up to how this team responds, I don't really care how we do it, just get in, and anything can happen from there.

^^^THIS

But if we upset Seattle, who do we lose to? I say if we beat Seattle we run the table and go 12-4!!!!

I dont know how you guys are so optimistic. Regardless of whos fault it is, the way this offense is playing there is a strong possibility we dont even win another division game. It is reality that this offense is the worst in the league by a large margin.

ROFLOL. Hyperbole! This is NOT reality, unless it is the reality in your own head.... We are not even the worst offense in our own division.

That's not saying much really. The 49ers are the last ranked passing offense in the league. Our rushing offense has been great this season, but its come against weak teams. The better teams can limit the run game and easily make the 49ers one dimensional. Kap isn't good enough and even if he was he doesn't have the weapons outside to get it done.

Hyperbole? I think not. The 49ers are in serious trouble and will be in the football fight of their lives just to get into the playoffs. Even if they do make it in. Do you really have any confidence in this offense? Judging by your comment I guess you do.

stop that crying and whining...it is so annoying.
we all know that our offense could be better.

if we miss the POs, so be it. we managed to win some games and we managed to stay competitive in some of our losses. it could be worse than that.
we cannot create miracles week.after week. young qb paired with.a subpar pass protection and injured weapons cant do s**t...

Even if we lost these last two games in New Orleans, I'd rather play there in perfect weather...than go to Seattle with bad weather and those fans who will still be yelling their asses off.

we could play in a dome in Detroit...then a Dome in New Orleans......that small small chance that Seattle loses to another team...and then we'd play somewhere else, with a much better chance.

either way I'm just worried about this Redskins game really...they just lost in close game, and will look to bounce back. I don't think it will be easy, but we better take care of business.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think the Redskins defense is pretty bad, so maybe our mediocre offense can get the job done against them. That said, we aren't going anywhere in the play-offs, if this offense isn't fixed, and fixed fast.
I'll take that NFC playoff pool and take my chances on the road. Not much playoff experience there.
