My first thought was Megatron hands down but with a player like Fitzgerald's attitude and hard work ethic, its hard not to say his name.

Larry Fitz -- Although I love the physical attrutes of Calvin Johnson -- I still think Larry is a better receiver. MAYBE Andre Johnson, too. We need a big deep threat.

As for me, it would be a tough call, but in the end, I'd have to make Larry Fitzgerald a 49er. He is a class act, and an amazing football player. Plus, Alex Smith could truly benefit from a weapon like that in the offense. Talk about a safety valve!
LOL if you would actually take Larry Fitzgerald over Aaron Rodgers.

Excluding QBs, because there are 3-4 that are obvious choices...
1) Calvin Johnson
2) Larry Fitzgerald
3) Darrelle Revis

3) Darrelle Revis

He is a talented but very self-centered player. When things go well and he is getting the ball, he is a force. OTOH, not so much...

lol funny how everyone seems to forget about Andre "the giant" Johnson when he's hurt if we can get him that would be a HUGE addition to this team honestly you gotta look at your biggest needs on a team and if harbs trusts A. Smith then so do i our secondary is obviously our big weakness I'd take a number of good young safeties and someone like joe haden at corner good youngish and won't ask for revis type money (for now)

Offense: Joe Thomas. I like Staley but Thomas is the best in the league and would automatically make both the run and passing games better just by himself.
Defense: Revis. Biggest no-brainer of all. For the older fans here, recall Deion Sanders when he was here. A guy who can shut down half the field leaves the rest of the secondary to double whoever is left.
A pass rusher makes the entire secondary look better but a good offense adjusts by going to quicker routes as NY did yesterday. You must have that true shut down corner.

You beat me to it. As much as I respect Larry Fitzgerald, I'd choose Johnson over him. The only legit reason anyone can choose Fitz over Andre is because of injuries. Outside of that, I take Andre Johnson first because Fitzgeraldn has shown that he is a receiver that is too QB dependent in order for him to dominate. Fitzgerald has had the luxury of playing the majority of his career with Anquan Boldin and Kurt Warner. When those two players left, you saw his production decrease significantly. Andre Johnson on the other hand was making the Pro Bowl with the likes of David Carr as his starting QB and the likes of Jabar Gaffney starting opposite of him.
On the subject of the thread, Aaron Rodgers is playing out of this world, however, I wouldn't consider Smith the weakest link on this team.
I'm going to give a top 5
1. Andre Johnson- With a receiver the caliber of Johnson, we'd destroy, yes I said destroy the Packers. Too bad the Texans finally have a good team. He may have wanted out after 8 years of mediocrity/losing in Houston.
2. Demarcus Ware- QBs would have to play a game of get the ball out of their hands as quickly as piossible with the pass rush that we would have.
3. Revis- our weakest link is perhaps secondary. Bringing in a player like Revis allows us to use the secondary in the same way we did in 1994.
4. Ed Reed- Yet another player that would put the fear of God into an opposing QB.
5. Nick Mangold or Joe Thomas- No real complaints about the line play, but these are clear upgrades at the C and LT position.
However, if we have another year in this offense and defense, there will be teams that will be asking which Niner would they link to have on THEIR team.
