Media and the 49ers

No need to read when the obvious is out there. Yes play calling shoul pick up but it all starts with the offensive line. When your QB doesn't have much of a pocket to throw out of... Then mistakes happen and so do bad descisions.
The pocket is collapsing to fast on Kaep especially when we are supposed to have such a bad ass o-line.

This is a solid article. I don't agree with all of it but it makes good points. My take on the offensive struggles is that it is mainly due to Kap being a young unpolished QB, like all QBs making their 20th (or whatever) start. This restricts the offense in what they are able to do and how dynamic it can be. However, the coaches receive most of the blame for not acknowledging this fact (Kap's inexperience) and not holding Kap's hands to guide him through this learning stage.

Things mentioned in the article like not enough screen passes and rollouts when facing high QB pressure are very valid and has been mentioned on this forum way before this article was written. There were numerous draw plays in the CAR game so I don't know if Cohn was referring to this past game or the season in general. My biggest criticism of this offense since post week 3 has been the underutilization of the RBs in the passing game. I am just being a broken record by saying pass to the RBs in the flats! It is easy to do and forces the LBs to spread itself wide which opens the middle for scrambling and for the TEs to work. I saw one good pass to Gore vs CAR and another to Hunter that was thrown a bit inaccurately causing a drop, but Hunter was open and would have converted a 1st down.

I agree with this article in that the coaches are to blame for the majority of the struggles. But the reason they deserve most of the blame is that they are making it very difficult for a QB at Kap's stage of development to succeed.

Preach on brother...this is exactly how I feel as well.

My criticism is right on the money, there are people who need to be called out, they know exactly who they are, like I said, when someone spends more time posting in the Chiefs thread and only comes around when Kaepernick has a bad game, I know exactly what they are all about.

It's just not true. Read through these recent posts, and you will see Kaep fans that don't give a crap about KC or #11 even stating that he isn't playing well. He isn't... so singling out people that post in KC threads as having an agenda is weak and uncalled for. Having an appreciation for what KC is doing has nothing to do with Kaep and his struggles. Fact is, the NINER talk section is simply more interesting when things are not going well... because there are things to talk about that need fixing, as opposed to the circle jerk adorations of a player or whole team itself.
p***y passing game schemes....if 85 or 81 are wide open by 10 yards...don't throw kaep!!! panic and run like a headless chicken!

-all other Wr's on field pretend to run routes

"This is what we do. Stop us." It's become his creed. That kind of simple, hard-nosed football usually works until a team like Carolina, more hard-nosed, stops the Niners.

does this remind anybody else of certain former HC and staff?
Wtf! I don't care if this doesn't deserve its own thread, but I've been battling the city of San Francisco and its horrible commuting options to and from candlestick. But seriously, wtf! I'm in my hotel room drinking and hanging with friends that I went to the game with and they have not talked about the game once. I'm not even joking. Who else is watching? In my opinion, the seahawks are their darling team and they don't want to broadcast their loss, but what the hell do I know?
haven't seen it yet either

but they've shown kobe's weak comeback effort about three times

Kobe is BOSS!!
I learned to stop caring about that stuff long ago. You will drive yourself nuts worrying about that kind of stuff. Then again i just stopped watching ESPN and NFLN all together. Bunch of big mouths talking over each other. Most of the analyst aren't good either.

Cause the game was boring as hell compared to other games today
This is the exact reason I am on here. Frickin east coast bias.

...kaep read your play book!!!
its true though lol

haven't seen 1 highlight and nfl network slightly covered it

no story if the niners win

no respect if the niners beat the unbeatable seahawks

and we don't need it either. 16 wins should be the goal. 16 wins and everyone can kiss our ass
That's funny, because I just came from the Hawks board...

and the feeling over there is the 49er's are ESPN's God's once again, and can do no wrong.

Honestly, the reason is, it wasn't a prime time game. The night games get the majority of the highlights throughout the week. Just look at the Hawks/Saints Monday night.
Too worried about Patriots beating the Browns and the Ravens beating the whatchamacallits.

Was defensive struggle and you are right early games week 14 some of best of season plus all the snow had some amazing games.

And if you guys want highlights go to nfl.com watch 5 min highlight of the game instead of waiting hoping espn will show them and show more than one play. That or wait and someone will post a link to re-watch the whole game.
