Staley is one of my favorite guys on the team as a person... but as a player, I wouldnt be opposed to seeing him walk after his contract is up... (didnt he sign a contract extension?) We should look into drafting a Center and hopefully Kilgore can start at RG by next season. I'm also hoping Davis pans out.
My hope is that both Kilgore and Person can develop into the kind of players we think they're capable of being. Person shocked the coaches with how well he played. I saw him play almost every position on the line except center, I believe. Pretty sure I saw him at LT, RG, and RT, and I don't recall seeing him falter at any.
The team believes Kilgore is the center of the future, but he's probably a year or two away. It'll be interesting to see how they use these guys, but the future also depends on what opportunities present themselves in the draft and FA for us to upgrade. But I think we'll be adding 1-2 OL in the off-season. Chilo just needs to go.
Next year, before we add anybody, we should have:
OT: Staley, Davis, Boone, Person
OG: Iupati, Snyder, Kilgore
C: Goodwin
With Snyder and Person's versatility, we could really pick any combination of two OL positions.
